Agreed with you, this is really a bad idea to borrow money that too for gambling. Many people are doing this without thinking about the consequences and getting their life in financial problem. There are always 99 % chances to loose whatever amount you have gambled so its always better to stop playing rather than borrowing more money for gambling.

I do agree with this that some people who are addicted towards gambling can borrow the money to play .They need money to gamble in order to recover the losses and keep going on in hope to hit just once and to cover the previous losses. If they realize that they can loose this borrowed money then they will never borrow. People who are providing money to such gamblers should refuse to lend the money.

It is true but most of these gamblers will not tell you truth while borrowing money so lenders should not lend with out any proper collateral

well in some cases yes and in some not.
if someone is borrowing small amount which he is able to repay then yea but if someone wants to borrow 1-2btc then i would be strongly against.

I think it is completely wrong. What is the need of one to borrow money for gambling? Because every one know there is no guaranty of returns from gambling then why should any one take such a huge risk whether it is a small or big amount? Yes, gambling is good for fun and play with your own money in small quantity but not with borrowed money.

If you are borrowing money because you want to gamble then that's addiction already. This person don't know when to stop. Your money should be your limit and if you don't have it then that's your Red light which means you need to stop. If you borrow money to gamble you have this feeling that you know you will win, but in fact, no one knows if you will win. so better don't borrow money for gambling. It should be your sign to stop gambling and go back if you have enough money again.

Nice logic and advice, i agree with this, that's why people who want to take a loan for gambling is should thinking again. In fact there are people who have borrowed some amount and they can't pay back because they lose then they don't know how to return their loan money.

The lender must research too if want to lend some amount, especially for who want to use for gamble, but this is
does not rule out the possibility if people do a loan for other reason(usually buy a VPS) to use for gamble.

really disagree. I think about the impact if you continue to borrow and you never win. whether you will continue to borrow until you win?

maybe you would sell your own home if you have too much debt to play gambling lol

Unfortunately that is exactly what happens with some people and they end up destroying their life and the life of their families if they have any.

As long as I know that the borrower has the credibity to pay me then it's alright "but" I have factors to consider. One is I must know the borrower personally. One practice here in our country when it comes to lending money is by giving the ATM card of that borrower as a collateral. That ATM Card must be issued by their company at work. So every payday the lender withdraws the money (but not the whole amount that the borrower's lend). Sometimes 10% interest every month, so that is 5% every half of the month usually @ 15th and 30th of the month or depends on the payday.

Yes, there are few people who are borrowing the money for gambling when they loose everything, they try to recover lost money by playing with borrowing money and at the end they lost these money also. You only gamble what you can afford to lose - I don't think you can afford to lose anything, so never go for gambling with borrowed money.

Borrowed money is not the gamblers money, that only means that gambler can't afford to gamble anymore and that's addiction. Here in my country, lenders make a killing on those who are addicted to gambling, they stay inside the casino premises waiting for someone to approach them and ask for money and collateral they accept are jewelries, cars and SUV's. They are taking advantage of the gambelrs by asking for a high interest.

Agree with you. If I were them I would choose to stop gambling with money from other people because I can't guarantee myself to return their money on time. Only addicted ppl who gamble their money until zero, and addicted usually end up with debt.

Why? small amount or big amount if he is able to repay it I guess it will be no problem, may be you should give him some interest if they borrow big one. Sometimes people are lazy to do deposit to change his currency to his btc so he just borrowing for people so you should not judge them if they borrow 1btc should against it

i think OP is asking us in the small chance condition he is able to repay the loan.
so i will totally disagree.
giving him a loan just like we bet with small chance to win (it's risk too)
it will make his addiction of gambling grows more faster than before and make him want to have loan more and more

I think many of the gamblers even when they don't have money for gambling but they barrow money for gambling. Do you agree on this?

Well it depends on the borrower, if the borrower only depends on gambling just to repay his/her loan then I strongly disagree with that. But there are some people who borrow money if they are short of it that time then gamble to have fun and hopefully to earn profit, and they will going to repay the money with his/her job salary. I know some people like that and it's quite fine with me.

i dont think it should be done as the one who borrows money would most probably loose everything in the end and wouldnt be able to give it back

Absolutely not. It is a bad idea to chase your loss in gambling, and it is a even worse idea to borrow money from others to chase your loss. You will just dig yourself into a bigger and bigger hole.
