Do you agree people barrow money for gambling?

I think many of the gamblers even when they don't have money for gambling but they barrow money for gambling. Do you agree on this?

This is one of quick way to die, I have met many such this things around me. What do you think?

I think that is way exaggerated that someone actually died because of gambling, I think there are few but I never met them actually, and to say you met that many, I think your place has a problem with something, my opinion stay away from peoples around you because they could die just by gambling.

Like investing in shares or stocks, it is better not borrow to invest. For gaming, it is just for fun. If you do not have the resources, then do not gamble.

Either for investing in stock or gambling one should not borrow money at any cost because both no guaranty that it will give you profit or loss. If you win then OK but in both cases chances more in losing so if one lose then they will be in a very difficult position to pay back the borrowed money with interest. So I don't suggest any one to borrow money for any of these things.

It same like some day Traders will borrow money thinking that they can make profits from their strategy but they lose then in deep trouble

Need to agree. Getting loan to gamble must be a suicidal situations. Many people has to quit the trading as well as the social status from where he got the loan. In forum people quit their well reputed accounts just because of loan repayments after loosing money in gambling.

it should be a requirement to have at least a reputation and a collateral before a user can borrow. So if this user can repay whether s/he lose what he borrowed or not, paying of course is required else collateral now belongs to the lendor.

Somehow out of the topic but in our PH culture, whenever Im receiving money from borrower, I don't want the money to give back to me came from doing "bad" jobs (Not literally bad. Has own meaning). It's just that I believe in old sayings that money came from that might gave you bad luck so even without basis and we are living in computer age I used to hold that belief.

yes you are right, any kind of gambling I do not agree that you get from the capital of borrow. if you borrow money for gambling I worry you will get lost. if you borrow better to play that do not have a big risk

agree with you, the risk is always there of, if i was the borrower, i will never borrow it if the guy who take the money will use it for gambling (again), the problem is not about people borrow money for gambling, the problem is to find a borrower who know it and accept it

Even if you had great skills in poker it is still gambling, it is like a double edge sword you will never if your gonna win or lose, you if someone's going to borrow money from you and use it for gambling will you let him?

in my opinion that will be a double gamble, you will never know if the borrower will pay you or not.

High loaning, high gamble but high risk. It might even cause your life for that.

I could only think of one reason where I agree that person lends money to gamble.
That is if he has enough money to pay it back right away, or maybe when he is pro at poker or something.

But otherwise hell no why would you lend money for gambling of course you can get lucky and win.
But when you lose you are in debt so no.

The only way you should lend money is sort of what you said, if the person is a pro, lend them the money.  If not, don't do it.  If they have the money to pay you back why are they using your money in the first place?

Indeed man! Its a risky business and there are no guaranteed returns (unless there's a collateral). I do give out loans here on this forum and just recently experienced my first loss on lending when birdcat90 defaulted on his/her loan on me   Kinda my bad for giving him/her a loan without any collateral.
