I'm thinking of something like 2% of the block height is needed to earn maximum stake, while the maximum reward could be something like 1% of the block number

Right now that would be about 7003 CUBE to earn 2000% and a max stake reward of around 3501 per block. Both would increase as the block height gets higher, so it would scale fairly well long term

this sounds good.

so if you don't have 2%, say just .5% of the block what would be the stake?

Something low, maybe, like 1 CUBE?

think that work?  how will new people view CUBE?

The longer we go, the lower % of the total coins will be required to reach the threshold. Money Supply will go up much faster than block count, percentage-wise

ok im for the sliding rate  ... just wondering how new people wanting to buy in will view it

Spots I'm not doubting you , But I hope you make this coin keep and gain value . I have liked it before I knew it was you behind it. you done evryone right so far from what I've seen from the beginning of cube. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ON THIS COIN. DON'T DISAPPOINT. I have had some staking since and even bought a few more.

Regards,
TimSweat

so if you don't have 2%, say just .5% of the block what would be the stake%?
Option 1: Make small inputs and compete for the 1 cube reward blocks. At start there can't be more than about 100 blocks each day staking for full reward (with roughly 1% of the coin supply needed) so there are plenty of blocks to collect with the small rewards. If you look into the chain there are still many blocks rewarding less than 1 coin, even with 1 coin blocks you can get a very good return. For still quite some time at least (or this reward slides as well, for example block payout 1/500,000th of the block height).

Option 2: If it's indeed 2% of the block height in coin age/coin days and not the number of coins needed you would have a 2nd option. Everything in 1 input and then manually stalling staking for 4 days, to compensate lack of coins with age, and stake for the 2000%.

yes , don't want many coin over inflating it , maybe run the staking rate for a certain amount of time then slow it up.

Correct. You could hold 5000 coins for two days to get the 2000% - This is why I think it will really help combating compounding while still offering great rewards. It's a very simple code change of about 8 lines that does a whooooole lot

You understand it correctly, though, so I'm glad I'm explaining it fairly well because it's a simple, but big, change

I would have it kick in at block 500k so everyone knows the bottom is 10,000 coinage and 5000 max reward. Nice round numbers to start charts

That would be a couple months, probably. Hopefully around 1,000,000 total CUBE

If thats the total cube before slowing it up then thats not so bad , then maybe the value and trading gets way way better and the coin stays around like one of my old favs UNO . We need coins that are going to stay and keep going. So many die after so long . This is a good coin , alot like it .

and keep up the good work on it but don't run ragged and get bored with it.

GoodNight , it's bed time for me , gots work tomorrow. Wil be watching as always.

It's not boredom. I think very soon when my whole side of the story comes out you guys will understand a little better why I made the choices I did in the past
