I did not think that the coin would fall below 3.80. I think that the race for bitcoin made such a failure. I think that it is necessary to sell now and buy cheaper later.

I couldn't sell IOTA if I wanted to - it would probably get stuck in the middle of me trying to transfer it back to the exchange.. either way I'm holding on to it as long as the IOTA foundation doesn't decide to abandon it and run - it is the absolute best coin "on paper" as of today.

it's one of the most promising coins in terms of future, but far from best on paper. Take a look at byteball (which is also DAG) but with better tech (but bad marketing) and skycoin (which is on blockchain but also with no fees and no posibility of 51% attack). There are also quite a few gems out there if you are willing to dig deep in the whitepapers. It's just that speculators don't always see beyond marketing

Byteball. Lets talk about hidden gems  Wink
But let's not hijack the thread.

Guys,

After i bought some IOTA from Binance .com what should i do ?  I should transfer them in the wallet or keep them at Binance ?

First time when i invest in such things.

Thanks,

You do not have any other option than to hodl them on Binance. Binance has suspended withdrawal of IOTA, you can still buy, sell and deposit but withdrawal is a no-no.

Hey but why you cant anymore ? How can i withdrawal IOTA ? Or i need to change IOTA in other currency and after i make withdrawal.

Thanks for the information.

I've transfered my iota to bitfinex and after a long time it finaly shows as confirmed, after several reattaches and re-broadcasts. Tangle explorer shows the correct balance but not bitfinex. Has this happend to anyone else on bitfinex?

Now I have 1500 IOTA and I want to hold some more IOTA. I thinks this is the right time to buy. This technology is really very good and not much more people in the community as compare to bitcoin and ethereum. It will soon get more hype and all holders will get benefited.

Technical question:
I understand that IOTA “confirmation power” increases when there is a surge of transaction because each transaction if verifying 2 others.
Let’s consider the numbers below (only for illustration purpose):
Two times
•   t0
•   t1 = t0 + 1sc
•   t2 = t1 + 1 = t0 + 2sc
For example, the average number of transaction since 1y is 100 transaction per second.
Number_Transaction(t0) = 100
Number_Transaction(t1) = 10,000
Number_Transaction(t2) = 100
Therefore, we experience a spike in transactions number at t1 and it returns to normal from t2.

In normal state, as we get 100TPS, there are 200 transactions confirmed per second, so there is no latency created to confirm new transactions.
But when a spikes occurs, at t2, we have 10,000-200 = 9,800 transactions unconfirmed ?
We will need an additional 49seconds to confirm old transactions ? (without even count the new ones that will queu)

Is it viable when we are willing to have almost instant trasactions for IoT devices ?
In real life, transactions occurs in spikes from the average flow. How is IoTa managing that ?

If its any consolation. I am waiting 24 hours for an iota deposit to go through to bitfinex. I did the re-attaches/re-broadcasts yesterday. How long were you waiting before it showed confirmed?

Sell 30% - wait for another drop - buy - wait for growth (e.g. when iota will be available on bittrex)

started it last night, in the morning I re-attached and re-broadcasted and after the re-attach from this morning it got confirmed in half an hour. The problem is bitfinex still doesn't show it, although it's confirmed.

One went within 24 hrs, another (Android wallet) took 48 hrs (node overloaded; the Android wallet can only use a specific node).

So basically, SNAFU  Grin

Meanwhile, price for the short term does not look good. Lower highs, lower lows. IOTA is searching for a bottom after the tremendous pump. My guess is around $2.

It is impossible for an altcoin to go upward all the time.
IOTA have made some kind of record in terms of price growth.

Most of those accounts belong to the foundation and to exchanges. Just remember the 350+ Ti of foundation address which holds the non transistioned tokens that will be distributed soon. If you count them out the distribution looks much better. The longer the history the better will be the distribution. IOTA is only half a year old (since it hit the first exchange). When Bitcoin was that old the distribution looked similar that bad .
