Indeed, it's not the huge news that is (at this stage) still potential, nor is it the 'Big Deal'. True huge news will only come if the foundation is established, so this should be the primary focus of the community leading up to launch.

Funding of the foundation. There is SO much going on behind the scenes that will only happen if the Foundation is established (this is a demand from the big companies too), so everyone should focus on making that happen ASAP pre-launch.

Vagueness is unfortunately the only way to prevent premature speculation that permeates the entire crypto space. I could have easily pumped IOTA to the stratosphere for my own short term profit, but instead I have done everything possible to minimize speculation and hyperbole. IOTA is a serious project, we refuse to pay for PR, we won't do ANY shady deals, we won't do anything to hype unconfirmed deals or partnerships.

This is why we didn't allocate a premine, because we want the community to decide it's own fate. Do they just want to play the lottery or do they want to ensure success? I have worked on IOTA *daily* since September. DAILY, every.single.day. including Christmas eve and New years eve, this is not something I am paid for, this is my volunteer work as a IOTA community member.

I am not asking the community to lead, as long as my role is what it is, that is still my responsibility, what I am ASKING of the community is to think long term and realistically, not get blindsighted by POTENTIAL short term profit. In other words: you already see the results of our work, so all you need to do right now is to trust us and get involved. This is not quantum physics, there is no ambiguity here, it's quite straight forward, but these things do not happen on their own. As soon as foundation is established we can celebrate with fireworks, but not before.

IOTA has never been more active in the real world, don't go by activity on BTT.

To me, the GUI having taken so long time means only that it must be made to be good quality, not halfway rushed. I am grateful for that.

No, the reason GUI has taken so long is that the 2 teams we outsourced to were the most unprofessional people ever who delayed the GUI with over 2 months through lies and deceit. One of them still refusing to hand over some of the files. The other reason is that we restructured core part of IOTA, which required an almost complete redo of the GUI. All of which everyone has been notified of ad nauseam.

That's my plan from the beginning: 100% of the btc collected from the iota I pledged for the deal goes to foundation.

In this regard I would appreciate, if there would be at least the option to spend BTC to the foundation. I know you would love to have IOTA, but the spended BTC could be used for the first bills so that the amount of BTC in the Foundation would be relatively quick small instead of using IOTA for the first bills.

The good thing with BTC would be also that you could provide already an address and you so would have already spendable cash in the foundation, what is not the case now. This BTC can help you to survive until the GUI is ready and give you financial fire power right now.
