If have received an IOTA payment yesterday and it is still pending.
I've already rebroadcasted the tx two times. Would it be helpful to reattach the tx?
Yes, do the reattach once for an hour. Reattaching works better than rebroadcasting. Done! Just to get a better understanding. I have now twice the same transaction in the history both having status pending. Will these both be confirmed, but only one counts or will the older one be orphaned and the newer one be confirmed? Only one will be confirmed. But you don't know which one. The other ones will never get confirmed. Every time when a person makes a confirmed transaction from an address in IOTA, the remaining balance in that address will be automatically moved to a new address in his/her account. |

How can you store data in the tangle? attacheToTangle[1] does not provide a parameter to do so. [1] https://iota.readme.io/docs/attachtotangleIs is basically possible to store data in IOTA transactions to build a messenger?
I am thinking about the idea to build a twitter-like app on a DAG-based network like IOTA.
I think you can. Transferring data (even encrypted data) between devices is what IOTA does. You can directly talk the devs on the slack. |

I think you can. Transferring data (even encrypted data) between devices is what IOTA does. You can directly talk the devs on the slack. You can attach messages on Tangle. Maybe check http://learn.iota.org/. I don't know the tech details. You can ask for more tech details on slack's #developers channel. There is also a #MAM-testing channel on slack. MAM is the encrypted message module. |

use the bitfinex node IP address (if you areusing light wallet), it's super fast. I forget exactly, but search and you will find. IOTA gets faster and faster every month! To an IT novice, where can I find the bitfinex node IP address? |

Hey David, I checked the address i sent for the manual claim and there is no transaction on it. I read about 15 claims that hasn't been processed. What is the next step now. Thanks

Is it fair to say that without Oracles, IOTA by design will only be able to offer a very limited subset of existing Smart Contract functionality & will thus be inferior to EOS/other systems if they are able to provide both high level Smart Contract functionality as well as free & similar volume transaction capability?
