According to the link below dated October 24th - the new GUI/wallet will not be available for another week which around November 1st.

https://blog.iota.org/gui-v2-5-2-latest-release-with-iota-reclaim-tool-32d364d6241a

Unfortunately, for United States holders on the Bifinix exchange - Bitfinix will be closing all US accounts around Nov 11th. Lets hope Bitfinix can accommodate US holders of IOTA and provide a remedy - otherwise, we got a situation brewing.

I would just like to get my wallet so I can take my coins off Bitfinix before they close US accounts.

Patience and cool heads will hopefully prevail.

I must say I bought IOTA months ago and have been meaning to set up my wallet. Now with this Bitfinix announcement - well ,,,, I'm hoping some humanity be provided by all parties involved.

Maybe Bitfinix could issue me a voucher for my IOTA.

I will ask them.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Or you could just sell them, move BTC to Binance and buy them back there.

IOTA's main innovation is not strictly in the sense of the block chain, but called "Tangle" encrypted currency network

As i said. As btc hype falling down, money flow to IOTA comeback and it gained almost 50% raise from 0,34$ to 0,5$. I don`t even imagine how people who panic sold their IOTA at ~0,35 feel themselves. And big BTC boom (just straight down into a hell) will come some day and there will be a day when all investors start  investment into opportunities not only into the name.

Yesterday we re-initiated the coordinator after an unplanned shutdown that happened on 20th of October. We are now releasing a new GUI Wallet, together with the IRI Release 1.4.1.1 which happened earlier today so that the entire network can resume normal operations. More information will follow, but the main reason for the shutdown was to protect our users from an ongoing attack on the network which could have had more serious consequences due to a bug that was swiftly dealt with.

Guys, IOTA is a high-tech coin, it is not surprising that it grows in value and will continue to grow no doubt in the nearest future.

Many users are confused whether or not they should use the reclaim tool on the new wallet release.
If you could see your balance on the previous wallet (v. 2.5.1), then you don’t need to use the reclaim tool. Just download the new wallet (v.2.5.2) and enter your current seed. At first you’ll see a balance of 0 which is normal. Go to Recieve and generate addresses until your balance shows up again. Use the reclaim tool only if you missed the previous wallet upgrade in August (you are still using v. 2.5.0 instead of 2.5.1)  or you are one of the few that had an issue with double-spent during the September snapshot. If my info is incomplete or inaccurate please let me know.

And If i did the claim with before 2.5.1. My balabnce wasnt there and normally it was 1,3 Gi ?

After the claim i could see my Gi but after reloggin in there are not seeable anymore.

What happpens with my fund then?

I dont see the funds anymore since a new login to my new seed.

My only hope is that the last adress of the old seed shows a pending transaction with my IOTAs .... Huh?

Is this ok or will there be problems now? I wait for 3 hours+ and generated 10+ new adresses .. nothing. But the pending transaction makes me hoping it is ok.

I'm not sure I fully understand. Can you either join the IOTA Slack group (only if you have an account already as it is temporarily closed to new users) or the telegram chat group: https://t.me/iotatangle
It will be easier to communicate there.

In the slack Channels the people only advice to attache and attache adresses. Makes that sense?

I am at 23 adresses and no balance there ...

SOLVED !

The whole afternoon I was trying to fill my new seed with new adresses and it didn't displayed my balance.

Now I tryed to login with my old seed (That didnt worked 2 hours ago) which I used with 2.5.1 -- TATA ...  my balance is completly there ... And I can now login with both seeds.

What happened?

I think the tangle noticed that I dont need a reclaim and activated my old seed with the balance.

Thanks god ...

@Dominik Schiener

A simple suggestion. Since everybody hates the wallet you have built maybe you should add one feature.
Storing how many addresses had been used so far inside a JSON file. On each situation of finding the wallet empty again after entering the seed start regenerating exactly that many addresses.
Or simply generate a dozen as a fixed number. And if the last one of that dozen still carries IOTA, generating the next dozen and looking again at the last address. And so on. And add a menu item for this.
