What does it mean by "Still" famous. I don't think Bitcoin ever lost it's status as far as being famous is concerned, the reasons for it's fame might have been different for different periods but as they say any publicity is good publicity and since last weeks it is making headlines for it's sudden price increase which will make it more famous and boost adoption.
Even some people think bitcoin had lost his attractions during the price fall from $1200 to $220 levels, it now turned back to the track to draw more attractions than before. So, I agree bitcoin is still famous and now more famous because of recent price rally. |

I think that Bitcoin is famous as it was the first cryptocurrency.
When it went up to $1000+, people were, I guess, more interested in bitcoin.
I think people are still learning about bitcoin and it is still spreading around the world.
Also, bitcoin is still trying to stabilise and I think that when it does, more people will start to use it and it will be even more famous.

You only get profits when you sell. You can buy now and sell later. But if the price keeps on rising, you have to buy back. Will you sell at a specific price? That could be a difficult decision. |

Yes, everyone is happy. I also hold some bitcoins and i got them when it was around 240$ and now prices are climbing comparatively which is a very good news for the Bitcoin Family. I will try to buy and to earn some more bitcoins by using signature campaigns and other modes. |

Think BTC is still gaining momentum, the blockchain is being adopted and thought about by some of the large banks and company so there will be a knock-on effect of bitcoin being talked about more and more and in turn should be picked up by a lot more people.
Block chain =/= Bitcoin. Block chain can be detached, used without bitcoin and that is the aim of the banks and financial institutions. Actually it is somewhat scary that in near future we will have many private operated block chains to support old banking system. |

the problem is that they've heard about it in a bad way bitcoin is famous for being a criminals tools at this point, there must be a statistic about how many people know bitcoin, but the important thing, is the reason they still remember about it i can beat my ass that the majority would say something like mtgox bankrupcy and crap like that... |

Bitcoin is also gaining traction right now due to capital controls and other regulations that made people cling into other assets other than holding on to their fiat. Bitcoin seemed to be the perfect asset for it. Look at Russia for example. Even though they banned bitcoin, still the volume in Localbitcoins there is just insane.

It's famous. Everyone knows that. And bitcoin deserves to be. Tiny transaction fees, a great p2p network, and overall a great currency to invest in.
Not to mention bitcoin is one-of-a-kind! And there's no signup fee!

I thought bitcoin gained a lot of trusts over the years. It was mainly used in illegal trade previously, not any more. I use bitcoin. |
