Hawks surprised people again <....> We may see a longer series here, maybe that will go to game 7 too.

If Sixers don't figure out how to stop Trae Young rather soon, series won't go past 6 imo. This dude has been routinely getting 30 and 10 every other game, like it's nothing. Sixers are also one bad landing away from Embiid (who is playing through a small meniscus tear) for the series to be over.  Back in November, i predicted that the Hawks will make the playoffs, but the way they are playing, shit i won't be surprised if they make it to the confs finals at least.

Better luck next time for the Mavericks. I'm really rooting for them but at least they don't give the much dominant Los Angeles Clippers an easy run at their series.

Hopefully, Luka will experience his first winning playoffs series the next time they qualified again for the playoffs. His effort will surely be rewarded.

I'm expecting Dallas Mavericks will do some good actions in the post-season to somehow revamp their supporting cast. There are lots of good prospects that will be available in the market and they should participate in it.

Kristaps Porzingis 0/5 3pts. He lost his touch and being the unicorn. I think it was because he was forced to fill the power forward position which he is not.
He should be like Durant making outside shots or perimeter jumps.
Rick Carlisle focused too much just using 5 players in the game and forgot about how strong his power forwards are. Kleber and Powell.
The player rotation was not good and the zone defense killed them.

They have a good roster but forgot how good it is. They are a young team so just add this to the experience.

I missed both games today due to the schedule conflict but I couldn't believe that Trae Young still unstoppable vs the 76ers. man, they could win the series if they continue to play like that. You need to understand that his team has one of the toughest Center in the league which can match with Embiid. Indeed a great game earlier for them, let's see if the 76ers can counter their strategy in the next game.

46 points in playoffs, even in game 7, not just any player can do that.

I was impressed with Giannis, in most playoffs games he is modest and inconsistent, to be desired, but in this game against the Nets, he played well.

Good thing that they pull it off this time and I hope they'll come back more stronger now that they're facing the no.1 seed of the West (though I think it doesn't matter now). Looking at the second round from the West and East it's just nice to see that those top 4 on the series managed to stay atop and only Atlanta Hawks got managed to get through in the East.

It's unfortunate that where KP's touch is badly needed, it doesn't happen. Actually, even in their previous games, KP is not that offensively aggressive. Maybe you are right that's because he was assigned to other roles. But that shouldn't be the big reason though not to become an offensive guy.

And not just to him but I don't know why the hell Kleber, Powell, and Richardson sit too much on the bench. Hardaway is also not on his usual play unlike on their previous games. Coach Carlisle putting too much playing time to Finney-Smith in their playoffs series but this guy doesn't contribute well. A bad run for Luka this year. I'm seeing Damian Lillard to him if the same scenario will always happen every playoff.

Haven't watch the game 1 between Atlanta and Sixers, but I was surprised to see the Hawks pulling another huge upset. I thought Joel didn't play, but he did, scoring a big 39 points. But it was Trae who carry the Hawks, will check some highlights later.

As for the Clippers vs Dallas, this game shouldn't extend to game 7, Clippers should have won in 5 here. But they allow Luka's Magic. Now they have to rest and face a deeper Utah team.

KP has been missing in this playoffs, not surprised that he just score 3 points, him and Luka are not a perfect match, in my opinion. I think it's better to trade him to get a decent player that can consistently contribute. I think KP and Kuzma are two players in first round series that was perform below expectations.

Actually it's Bogdanović and Collins who carried them to escape this game, not against Trae.

as he got lots of turnover in the dying minutes bringing Sixers to come close but this Two players give everything and really
hit those big shots to stay above, if that 3 points of Bogdanović did not went for sure it will be a different result now, he makes
that big shot and win this game.

Another heartbreak for Luka, he has been consistent in this series, sadly his teammates disappear in the last 4 games, they suddenly lost the fire in their eyes, hopefully, Luka will still play the same level, still young if Cuban can't put a solid backup for Luka, maybe he needs to look through other teams where the management will do its best to find suitable teammates in chase of the ring.

He got a $31 Million salary this year but he didn't contribute that much in this playoffs because of his injuries. His injuries are concerning and because of that, he can't play the way he is when he is in the Knicks where he is dominating.

On the other hand, I agree that the Mavs roster is a very young roster but they have a coach who is in the playoffs for a long time already and gave a championship to the team. Give this team 2-3 years, reshuffle the roster at least and get some superstars aside from Doncic and this will be a championship contender.

It looks like the momentum of the Hawks coming into the second round of the playoffs is being carried and Trae Young is just unstoppable.
He is a good shooter, a good passer and can be a leader inside the court.

That's a bit harsh. That's also the coach who won a championship for the Celtics.
We can't put all the blame to him from that error with the Clippers. In fact, they almost lose it again with just a young Doncic working his ass.

I still believe 76ers is a strong team even without Embiid. It's a plus if he's playing but most of their players now are champions and stars so they can easily bounce back if they see all the error they made in Game 1. It could also be a bad mentality of overconfidence after beating the Wizards.
If not, then maybe the Hawks has the stronger will to win the championship than them.

Shit happens and it's just that they run out of luck last season. The good thing about the Sixers is they put on some needed championship experience in their roster. Danny Green might be their lucky charm  , he won consecutive titles at the moment this season might be added to his cap lol.

Kidding aside, I agree with danherbias07, it's not fair to put all the blame on coach Rivers on what happened with the Clippers last season. We should also give credit to the Nuggets, especially Murray who carried the Nuggets at that time.

He's very tall 221cm (7-3), he's young, has good ball control (for his height) and he certainly has the ability to be an All Star.

Anyway, I don't understand why he's not an excellent duo with Luka Doncic.
If KP could play a little bit better and improve his skills, probably KP and Dondic could be one of the best duos in the NBA nowdays, maybe in top 10 (my opinion)

Actually, KP was only doing great in NY in the early years, but he was injured and his game wasn't consistent anymore. Maybe because of the injury, he loss his confidence, so he wasn't as good as he was before. He can use his height to attract other teams to sign him, but as fans, we are just so disappointed with his performance, he is not aggressive anymore.

I would normally trade Porzingis if I could but we all know that Porzingis is not a hot asset right now so even if they want to trade there wouldn't be a good offer. I believe there is a good chance you can get a few picks for him, and then hope that you draft good players so that you could potentially build a good squad around Luka in the future but that is not going to help in the next 5 years.

This is why I think the only option for them is to either get young guys now, or basically get some older generation veterans who can provide something but at the last stint of their lives. Luka is a playmaker if he wasn't I would say a good example would be CP3, dude is still great but won't be for too long so his market is lower, people like that would be great for them if they want something now. However even with that in mind, Dallas has like 10 more seasons of Luka at least, so there is no rush.

I think KP's days in Dallas are over. You can see it both in the player and in the team's game. This guy was supposed to be the star of the team and now he is a role player waiting somewhere in the corner of the pitch for the ball. Thats right that injuries do not spare him, but his potential is much greater than he shows it now. I believe that the transfer will be a good solution for both parties. I've read rumors of a trade for Lauri Markkanen. It could be an interesting move.
