I'd give game 1 to the Raptors already, except there is an early rally from Bucks in the 4th quarter:

Pascal Siakam with that buzzer beating 3 to make it a 7 points lead for Raptors going into 4th quarter, Raptors have been pretty solid at defence forcing Bucks to shooting from outside, and they are doing that ineffectively.

I thought that the Raptors will steal Game 1 on the road but they run out of steam in the 4th quarter. Lots of turnovers, missed shots etc. The Fatigue is also a factor for them so the last quarter is the time for the Bucks to regain the lead.

Anyway, good game for both of them. I didn't see Giannis defending Kawhi and vice versa but its a close game. I will not be surprised if this will go to a Game 7 . It will be more exciting to watch

I like to see that, of the two series, this series has a better chance of going into distance.
Bucks has to win game 2, but I am seeing lots of Raptors fans here also, so whoever team will advance in the NBA finals, I would be happy.

The Game 1 between the Bucks and Raptors is a close game so I'm seeing this as a good series too. If the Raptors will steal the game 2, they have a chance to win the game in 6 games.

They really had a good chance to win, actually in the first three quarters, they are ahead. They just loss steam in the last 10 minutes or so. Lowry provided the spark for the team, but the rest including Leonard had a bad shooting.

Maybe they are really tired and exhausted after a gruelling series against the Sixers. But I'm sure they will be back next game and try to steal game 2.

The raptors sure had minimized Giannis output but still they lost to the other match-up. Lopez step up his game and also Bledsoe has done well in breaking the raptors defense. Though it's too early to celebrate but I guess it's a Buck's series and they will end it in 5 games.

Lopez connecting from outside makes them loss. Maybe aside from putting Giannis on hold, they should top Bucks from making outside. Well, we are still in game1, Eastern isn't as predictable that much compared to Western. I believe this series will be done in 7 in favor of Raptors, yeah I believe in Kawhi finals experienced.

That was some nasty game from both teams Raptors and Bucks.
I loved it.
Been screaming since first quarter until the end.
As of why, here are some reasons.

Gianis is absorbing all the defense since he made 6 points in the first minutes of the game.
Until the end, defense to him was so tight. Yet, he noticed it only at 2nd half.
I want their coach to drill in Gianis head that the whole team is getting freed when he penetrates the paint.

He does that on the 2nd half. But three pointers cannot hit their shots in threes.
So go back to a new play but same Gianis penetrating.
Dont settle for threes.
Good thing Lopez became so aggressive. Next should be Bledsoe and Middleton. Be more aggressive and attack the paint while Gianis penetrates. Raptors cannot go back to defense after that. They need their feet to settle again before a good defense.

But all in all still a great game. So exciting.

In short they are a good match to each other, and with that, they gave us the excitement that we are looking for.
It was a close game, an opposite of what we've seen in the west, maybe this time the Bucks will be tested as they played a tougher opponent.
After watching game 7, I think game 7 is probable to happen.

I don't think they contained Giannis. They know that they have been in this kind of situations before. That's why other players step up, Bledsoe has been consistent, but the big difference is really Brook Lopez. We thought that his best days are with the Nets, but it seems he did contribute big in getting a win in game 1 so kudos to him. Bucks is the favorite to win in this series so yeah probably in 5 or 6 games.

Containing Giannis might be successful to Raptors but that leads to minimizing the other defense factor to other Bucks.

On a positive note to the Raptors, since they did quiet able to contained Giannis, it means their plan is working. Now to fill the holes on why they lost is now the discussion on the table and surely an adjustment will be made.

And Brook Lopez step up. That's another thing to be discussed by the Raptors.

Overall the game was good. Really unpredictable who will take the series. No rooms for predictions and speculations to that kind of action.

You must be getting the players confused to think Giannis didnt play very good.
Giannis scored 24 points had 14 rebounds and 6 assists - was only 4 assists away from another ‘tripple double’’.
BUCKS out scored Raptors 32 - 17 in the last quarter closing out with 10-0 run.  This team is for reals!

Just my opinion, this series between the Raptors and Bucks will be decided on game6 or game7. Bucks won the first game but that game shows that the Raptors had a chance to defeat the Bucks if only they put some attention on Lopez and not all on Giannis. This is an exciting series and betting odds are exciting also when they change court on game 3.

If you are following Bucks throughout the season, or just even on the start of the playoffs, we can clearly see that Bucks is not always about Giannis. He is not literally carrying the whole team even he's average is good. It's a disrespect for those role players who are part of where they are today.

Giannis didn't play good? Then why they won? It's not about Giannis but the whole team contributes. If you watched the game you can't say that.

You are only looking on a tree and not on a whole forest. On the other hand, kudos to Raptors for playing great defense. We can't just predict easily what will happen just because of Game 1 result between these two teams. Looking forward on a close game action on Game 2.

But the same way does Bucks play. When I listened to the inside voices produced by TNT, Budenholzer seems to see even to the slightest errors of their team. Well, he is one of the highest votes to be coach of the year.
He must really have that kind of spark.

It will be a good fight with both coaches. A lot of cards will be taken out from that Tuxedo of them.

NBA games are so hard to predict. I know basketball very well, but to predict NBA regular season is really a challenge. I am much better with Euroleague basketball. Reason? Well NBA is just a show in a regular season. Just in playoffs they start playing hard and as they are supposed to. Just like Euroleague guys are doing everything singlegame game.

I agree, these guys are so good that they can turn tables around. There are times that in NBA gives people surprises in the end of who will win.  Anyways, good luck to your prediction for this year, hope you’ll be able to predict right this time.

We are having a real exciting game tonight, Blazers were able to lead as much as 15 points but in the 3rd quarter the Warriors rally and game now are close. It's still curry that is goating tonight, already scored 27 points and there's still more time left in this game.

Curry goes for 40 tonight but I hope it's the Blazers will win tonight.

Lillard on the other hard, still struggle to score.

What a f**ing game!!!. Blazers was leading but Warriors came back at the end of the 3rd quarter. But then Portland took a good lead with less than 3 minutes. But then again, GSW tied and then it's a back and forth with both brothers either hits a three of Steph making a assists.

Iggy shows what a good defender he is, as he didn't give Lillard a good looks at the dying seconds and steals the ball.

Almost a win for Portland. It's just that....

-They didn't maintain it's lead (especially the 17 points big lead) while clock is ticking down. I like how they battle for exchange shots but after the 3 minute period mark, what happen? And then Warriors now take the lead on a 1 minute mark.

-Lots of wasted possession attempts. Seth Curry almost on fire, why not giving him the play during the last few minutes.

-Poor defense in the paint area, Myers got confused. Lots of uncontested shot made by the Warriors on the paint area during the last few minutes.

I just don't think Blazers have that mental toughness yet. If I am not mistaken, this is their current roster's first ever finals. Golden State with their experience and firepower will crush them them.

That's the right way to describe it, in big games like this, we can't trust on a team that choked in the lats minutes of the game.
I now remember what happen during the last NBA finals between the Cavaliers vs GSW when JR Smith loss his presence of mind and instead of shooting the ball, \
he just held the ball until the time expires thinking they are leading the game.


Both Warriors and the Bucks are the better team, they were down big but able to come back and win.

I believe they will face the NBA Finals.

They choked especially Damian Lillard. I thought that he can pull out the last shot but it does not. He even didn't get the shoot the ball. Great defense from Iggy though. Great defender indeed. Dude, even without KD, they are firing up. They chose their classic first 5 before KD and cousins made it to the team.

I think we clearly saw all effects of resting period from the bucks vs raptors game. Bucks rested a lot before this game and raptors just finished their 7th game this Sunday so they could be even still tired from it. Bucks started not that well because they have rested so much and had to gain their senses back and get their groove back which took some time and it always happens for teams that rested too much compared to their competition.

On the other hand Raptors came out of a victory and they were looking to keep that streak alive to gain the momentum. Bucks however gathered together on the fourth quarter and not just because raptors got tired but they literally played better on the fourth quarter as well from gaining their groove back whereas raptors were tired and they were playing games too close to each other so the 4th quarter became a lot harder for them.
