I am hyped on the Nets hosting the rematch with Celtics but Kyrie Irving still not playing is reducing its potential of a possible super game. Is Kyrie still not healthy or he and the Nets team just wanted to let him rest more and not tolerate on the trending Celtics fans criticisms. I am happy with Celtics current run but those taunting posters in Boston should not be tolerated. I now wanted Kyrie and the Nets to perform better than the Celtics this season.

This regular season, Boston Celtics will be favorite to have higher ranking than Brooklyn. But Kyrie can offset that if Brooklyn can enter playoffs. Kyrie has a ring and the experience so they may pull an upset over Boston if they happen to meet.

KD is not expected to return this whole NBA season.

The way the Lakers played the game today, I can see they are going to be the team to beat this season. How they managed to win against the Pelicans makes me believe they are really a championship contender.

Though Lakers is a true contender this year, winning over the Pelican is not the measuring stick. With the amount of talent, it should have been an easy win for the Lakers but instead, they have been trailing for 3 quarters. It is good that they have been able to rally on the 4th leading to a win.

So far, the Lakers have won games but lose to tougher teams like Toronto and Clippers. Their strengths and weaknesses will be revealed when they face top teams like Celtics, Bucks, and Nuggets.

I know Spurs are NEVER the real story in NBA talks and they have been champions 5 times in the past 20 years which means they won quarter of all possible championships while playing on playoffs on every single one of them. Yet, people do not really like them the way they like Lakers for example, they have never been that famous or flashy or made the news.

This season they have started so horribly that even I as a fan of the team can't believe how horrible we have been. The defense sucks for sure and I think playing Demar at small forward limits his defensive help whereas they put Bryn Forbes on two guard and he does help on perimeter shooting but his defense lacks as well and LMA is no longer the superstar he is so they always start the games with negative defense rating lineup.

I don't know what Pop could do to change this team around but at this point I feel like they will miss the playoffs and maybe Pop might want to retire, dude is almost 80 years old, I really hope he doesn't do that, I want to see Pop at least start the next 20 year run with an amazing lineup before he leaves.

San antonio doesnt make waves like the lakers do because of the location.  San antonio doesnt have the population like that of a Los Angeles or New York.  Pop is a great coach but he was also blessed with some incredible talent over that time. Between the admiral and timmy.  Throw in parker and Ginobili and so.e great role players and you can see why they won so much.

Agree. Lakers feel relax during the early phase of the game. And not just that, their shooting percentage from 1Q to 3Q isn't that impressive. Kuzma just blows up his steam during the last quarter. It's unusual to see Lakers like that so it means Pelicans is doing great to their defense.

But aside from that and as I mentioned, Pelicans looks like they want to show something to AD and the Lakers as we all know what happens between these two teams. I believed that contribute to the firepower of Pelicans that night.

I would not bet against toronto right now.  That team is on a mission.  If anything bet the over.  Toronto wont play at Orlando's slow pace and the over under is real low.  Toronto is one of those teams where I feel vegas doesnt trust them but they are way better than people give them credit for.  Siakam is a superstar in the making.  Dude is a beast.

A usual phase for Lakers team but this time i do see that theyre struggling? Those kuzma's 3s on 4Q does really help out and that last seconds turn over is thrilling.
They should not retain that kind of early phase because not all the times they would able to cope up the gap but some of Lakers game do really have this kind of
scoring phase.They start up so relaxed but it do have accompanied some risk but well Lakers proves out on what they are capable of.

And just when we thought that San Antonio is out of tune, they go and win against Clippers and even taking a lead as much as 20 points. White had a good game with 17 dimes, but it was a complete game from Forbes, Mills and Trey Lyles plus the usual LaMarcus and DeRozan. Good win for them to get back on track.

You can't sleep on the Spurs, they are a legit team with a legit coach, they can beat any team in the NBA, even the best teams now.
Spurs really did a great job to Williams and Paul George as they only scored 5 and 7 points respectively.

on the other game, seems like the Blazers now have a big 3 that are consistent in scoring.
another win at home and these big 3 are scoring well

I as well have a doubt, but judging by their performance this season, they still have a shot at making to the Finals. We all know the regular season and playoffs have different atmosphere, intensity, and strategy.
Just like what you said, one cannot guarantee a win in the playoffs even if they are doing well in the regular season, anything can happen.
And, we are forgetting how good the 76ers, Celtics, and Heat are doing so far. All of these teams are a championship caliber in the East.

I also thought they are not a finals contender this season. Even in the Eastern conference finals, I think they can't make it. They lack clutch players that could carry their game in the final minutes of the game.
