I guess it's kind of expected that the Sixers will have a hard time getting those wins because Embiid is out for at least 2 months because of that injury. It's almost the same as the Nets when they had KD and Kyrie a few years ago. At one point, they were at the top, and when both of them got injured, they just got loss after loss until they went down to the bottom 4.

I'm not saying that the Sixers will experience the same, but they relied too much on Embiid in terms of offense that they forgot to shoot already. Too much exaggeration in that sentence, but what I mean is that no one can step on the team offensively. Not even Tobias Harris which is their supposed 2nd option on offense.

The Sixers are 3-7 in their last 10 games, and their next 5 games are kind of easy at least. They will be up against the Nets, Magic, Pistons, Spurs, Grizzlies. I just hope that they can rack up some wins now that Embiid is still out.

I confess that I was surprised by the performance of the Philadelphia 76ers playing against the Cavaliers, there were two games and in those games the Sixers beat the Cavs.
I'll be curious to see the Sixers vs Celtics game at TD Garden today.

The Golden State Warriors seem to still have to find their offensive guy. Steph Curry is changing his way of playing by becoming the screener for his teammates but the problem is the one who should be rewarded for those plays cannot shoot the ball at a high percentage.

I actually like the new approach. The veterans helping the rookies develop and have confidence in themselves can only improve the club in the long-term. They will be more of a threat during the play-in or the playoffs if they can find the right mix before the regular season ends.

I like it too and there are times it is successful but maybe they are abusing those kinds of plays and they need to go back to where Curry is the center of the play because those are also successful one. I don't know, maybe they are just having a hard time balancing it all and maybe the play is new that's why it's not much appreciated yet. Curry as the screener is a damn good play because he can absorb 2 players after that and someone will always be free but then, they need to be accurate with their shots. Because it will all be a waste if they cannot even shoot the ball.

Yes, I think him and Kerr have developed this approach in the last 10 games or so. I've noticed that Curry setting picks, even if he didn't have that frame, he is sacrificing his body so that his team mates will be open. But it's just a matter on who is going to shot for them.

So they will have to developed another program for their shooting guards to come up with a high percentage. Klay has been struggling, and I also seen Draymond pulling that 3 from time to time. And the play might change against once CP3 will be back in the rotation. The Warriors can still make it in the playoff this season though.

Yeah, that's what I am saying. It's a matter of who will be good enough to shoot that ball after the screen.
Wiggins is also struggling. Kuminga is the only one who could do perimeters but his confidence is still building up. I like Saric but he is not given enough minutes to get hot.
Draymond is also hesitant at shooting even if he is free, he likes to pass it more than shoot. It all comes back to Curry. Their new guys need to be reminded that they can shoot the ball too because Curry will surely be having 2 players defending him after the pick.

Nonetheless, Philly is indeed struggling to maintain its ranking since the injury of Joel Embiid. Embiid if expected to return later or in the playoffs provided the team can make it.

They are still at number 5 in the standings now, but their numbers are going down, 3-7 in their last 10 games, that's trouble. Embiid can't return in the playoffs as that is not safe for the team. If he wants to make this team competitive in the playoffs, he should return before the playoffs, as the longer he is out, the struggles will continue. I won't be surprised if they drop to 10th and will just play for the play-in tournament to have a chance to qualify.

For this Philly team, time is very important, and that is to get Embiid back in action, provided he's 100% already.

We'll see if the team can make adjustments and be able to hold a spot inside top 8 at the end of the season. There's still 25 games in the regular season and that is a lot. Team president Daryl Morey is still hopeful for Embiid's availability in the playoffs. But it is indeed also a risky move if they will let Embiid play even if not fully healed. Maybe it depends on the team they are playing in the playoffs, Boston and Miami are dangerous but the other less experienced team could be winnable. Embiid will be evaluated in about a month so there will be a better assessment of his return by that time.

Someone has to step up in the absence of Joel, we have seen Maxey do that in the early part. But I guess he is not that consistent as well, not enough experience to lead a team. But it's good that he has been given the chance as he will definitely the new face of the franchise in the future.

They are going to face the lead leading Boston Celtics, it's hard to see the Celtics losing this one, just saying. They are almost 6:1 underdog and the initial handicap line is -10.5. So that's how bookies see the Sixers and it means it's going to be very difficult for them to win.

I just saw some feed that the Warriors though have some former NBA dad . There is the obvious, but I was surprised to see that Trayce Jackson-Davis dad, Dale Davis is also a NBA player. Remember him back in the days, 90's era with the Pacers. Very tough game and defender in the low post. He had defended against Shaq as well if I remember correctly and Shaq will just used his height and weight advantage and will hit Dale in the face with that elbow.

Also Andrew Wiggins father, Mitchell Wiggins is also a former player, but he was probably before my time so I'm not familiar with him. Even their GM former player Mike Dunleavy Jr. So there's a lot of second generation player in the NBA. But no one will beat the record if Bronny will play together with his father Lebron in the next couple of years.

Worst ones are 6-4 in the last 10 games, with bunch of 7-3 and even 8-2 is there. Usually you do not get ALL of them doing this well, some do well and some do badly but this time its not like that at all. In the end, we are seeing it grow and that's the most important part, we should be thanking the basketball gods that its making it so wonderful. I personally believe that we are not really seeing any big changes. Unfortunately, we will see some teams not do this well until the end of the season. Play-in could be very fun this way though.

Social media is cooking him for some reason like this game means he fell off. It’s something to keep an eye on, but he’s a 20 year old kid so I think he’ll right the ship in no time.

If only they could have some players to stop Jokic and Murray, they would have not struggled and were beaten easily by the Nuggets. Let's see how the new rosters will help them against the Denver Nuggets this year since if they gonna reach the playoffs this time, they will face the Nuggets at some point unless the Nuggets go home early because other teams in the Western Conference are well prepared as well to beat them in the playoffs.

Yes, I actually also think that Lakers are dangerous. But when they have all the players available and healthy.
The problem is they are currently facing a big injury problem. A lot of important players including LeBron James is injured, I know LeBron is playing but I don't know how much he is fitted, cause his injury news is circulating here and there.

So right now it is hard for them to bring in good results. Just in this match against Phoenix Suns, I believe if they had all the players available, it would have been an easy win for them in this game.

That is literally what would have been expected of them, it doesn't feel like there would be anything that would be too major at the moment, it feels like it should not be all that crazy.

This should be something that will take a while for them to recover from, but Embiid will come back next year, probably stronger than ever because he would be able to just purely train and train all the time instead of tiring himself at games so he could be much better next season and he was already pretty great this season. They need to find a lot better players to surround him, Embiid is great, and there are some cool few role players but the rest of the team is totally useless, they need to get a team and a system that works for them.

Did someone posted this already about what's the desire of Lebron for his next contract with the Lakers? he's seeking to have 9 digit figures with multi-year with the team. I thought that he's about to retire and he just want to play with his kid for one season and that's done after that.

People online are harsh, eh? Just 1 bad performance, and they will roast you like you are the reason why you lost in an NBA Finals game.
It's like these NBA players will not have a bad night at some point in their career. I mean players will not always have good performances. This is just one of the bad nights he will have this season. I know that he will come back stronger after this disappointing loss.

I did read the article, and it says there that his stance is different now. From "he wants to be on a team where my son is" stance to "I'm just happy if both of us will be in the league". Well, that's good to hear, but the question is "Will the Lakers agree with this 3-year 9-digit deal again?"

Sure, he's having some monster numbers still considering that he's 39 years old already, but I don't think that he still has enough gas to carry a team unless he has at least 2 superstars beside him that can help him. Like you said, the Lakers might opt to focus on their future considering that they have first-round picks rather than giving him a huge deal like this. If this is the case then, we might see Le-GM going to another team again.

The Knicks playing the second game of a home back to back and they are down a ton of guys.  Harvesting is now out tonight so they are down to their 3rd string center.  Knicks strong suit is their inside rebounding and they are underdogs by 6.5 to new Orleans.  Going to be a tough game but this is where you make stands at this point in the season.  Shame Knicks got riddled with injuries they were playing so well.  Well let's see what they have in them.

It's almost the end of the third quarter and the Charlotte Hornets have only scored 39 points (26 points in the 1st half). The Milwaukee Bucks are playing impressive defense today and the Charlotte Hornets are shooting bricks. I thought Charlotte really improved because they manage to get 4-0 after the trades. The game was a mismatch. The Bucks were able to dominate in the early quarters by huge margins that they can afford to rest Lillard and Giannis early. Milwaukee more than doubled the score of Charlotte in the first half. The total score of Charlotte would've been worser if the Bucks did not rest its main stars and continued the carnage.

Charlotte improved but the Bucks are also improving. It seems like the Milwaukee Bucks are back as a notorious team. Lillard is also producing quality numbers since the All Star break. So far Doc Rivers is now 3-0 since the long break.
