LeBron being voted as the best player on team USA by his peers is pretty crazy. He’s pushing 40 years old and the best players on the planet still think he’s the best of the best. As for the Summer League, no I'm not going to bet or even watch the games, might be better to see the FIBA Olympics qualifiers over the NBA for now.

The practice of Team USA versus Team Select was even worthier to watch than the Summer League's.

I agree that I'd watch more of the Olympics qualifier matches even if they're replays than of the SLs.

I tend to agree with you. I thought they overperformed like crazy last year and some people started overestimating players like Brunson. This year I think they’re going to face much harder competition as teams begin game planning for them. I should also admit I hate the Knicks and have since the Ewing days.

They did it out of respect. At least that's what I see that's why they voted him. I mean who in the USA team has as many achievements as Lebron has right now? There's no that comes close, not even Steph Curry or Durant. I see Lebron as one of the best NBA players ever played despite the controversies and his abuse in his power, but this USA team is just very dangerous in the Paris Olympics, aren't they?

The Knicks are better with their current line up, but I should say that they are nowhere near the Celtics. The Celtics are still the kings of the East. Whoever said that the Knicks are as equal as the Celtics in terms of talent might be a bit bias and probably a Knicks fan.

Anyway, I don't like how Thibs played his players during the playoffs. Hart, DiVincenzo and Brunson played more than 40+ minutes in most of their playoff games and there are times where Hart played every second of the game. That's not sustainable for a player in the long run. The Knicks doesn't have any reliable center since they gave away Hartenstein to the Thunder. They need a big that will help them defend the paint. The Celtics proved already that they are the Kings of the East because they won. Knicks? They even lost to the young Pacers team last playoffs. It's nowhere near.

I totally agree that people are thinking too highly of Knicks. Comparing them to Celtics is ridiculous as Knicks do not have any players as good as Celtics players. Let's be honest Knicks are just an average team that might make playoffs but that is it. They traded away their chances for better future, so thinking they will suddenly become great is unrealistic. It would take a miracle for them to make it to the finals because they are not good enough to compete with the best teams. We should be realistic and see the Knicks for what they are a team that's not going anywhere special.

Yeah, I heard that too. I think the right word was "challenge" the Celtics team. They ain't similar but both will be playing small ball kind of plays with the most strength coming from the guards. The Knicks have an identical roster now, they will be focusing all their attacks using their guards and their defense too. Their only trouble is if they are playing against teams like Denver Nuggets which focuses on a big man like Jokic. Oh, and 76ers too with Embiid.

Anyway, they might win the Conference but let's be real, the West are also fortifying their rosters and they are also targeting the Celtics plays. Dallas Mavericks already made their move by strengthening their core.
For the East, they might want to look at the 76ers too, and be careful with them. Embiid with a healthy PG13 and Maxey will be a force that can win the East too.

But they did have a special season, with Brunson leading the team so how can you say that they are just a average team when they really put out a great performance, it's that their are somewhat injury plague and so they feel short.

Of course, it will not be a sudden move and then they will be the champion or at least be the East conference champions. Everything should fit, just like what the Celtics did, they trade some of their players like Marcus Smart and that experience losing to the Warriors was big for them as they come back really motivated after two years and now they are crown the champion.

KAT is pretty inconsistent honestly. I would rather keep Randle and see what happens. Randle is the better player as far as consistency goes, minus the injury, but any player could get injured at any given time IMO.

I think it would defendo on the coaching style. I believe KAT is a real talented player but without a proper play, he won't be able to maximize his talent. I believe he only struggled against the Mavericks, before that, he was contributing good numbers resulting to winning the series. If the Knicks would acquire KAT, they need to trade Randle IMO because the Knicks had already had success without Randle, so KAT being added to the team would just result to a better improvement.

Wolves line-up is proven weak against a team that can shoot 3 points so accurately like Mavs since Wolves defense is only good in the inside while useless on the perimeter shooters. Also their tall line-up becomes their weakness when it comes to speed on positioning defense against fast team like Mavs.

Also Mavs center somehow managed to outsmart Gobert and Kat defense to create an opening for Mavs perimeter shooter. I doubt that they can even beat Boston if ever they are the one who won the WCF. Wolves is very is to lockdown since only ANT can shoot.

So as a Chicago Bulls fan I'm not real excited about the offseason or next year as we are horrible.  I'm curious though what everything thinks of the Demar DeRozan trade, and what do ya'll think about Zach Lavine still being a member of this Chicago Bulls?  I think it's sort of crazy that he's still on the team.  We have to real use for him since we have no shot at any sort of championship and he's just a wasted asset as I see it..

So as a Chicago Bulls fan I'm not real excited about the offseason or next year as we are horrible.  I'm curious though what everything thinks of the Demar DeRozan trade, and what do ya'll think about Zach Lavine still being a member of this Chicago Bulls?  I think it's sort of crazy that he's still on the team.  We have to real use for him since we have no shot at any sort of championship and he's just a wasted asset as I see it..

I also have no idea what the Chicago Bulls are planning but I think they will be rebuilding. Perhaps they cannot find a good offer for LaVine and so he will stay. But he can become one of their ace too when the time is right. He is just 29 years old, there's still a lot of things that can happen in his career.
They got the 2nd round pick and they have cash considerations. They got Duarte but I don't think they will focus on him. It's just a great addition according to them.

Back to LaVine, there are rumors that a LaVine-Ingram trade could happen. I think the Bulls will win this trade if ever it materializes. Ingram is getting better as he gains more experience so I highly doubt the Pelicans will let him go. Well, it's just a rumor.

I believe Jaylen Brown is going to have offseason surgery, but I only glanced at the news article that I saw the news in.  That would explain his absence though.  I'm shocked that they went with Derrick White.  They did need another point guard in my opinion, but Derrick White wouldn't have been on the short list.  Maybe everyone else had vacation plans already lined up...

I'm not surprised at Kawhi's exit.  I was surprised he attempted to play on Team USA.  They Olympics have a tendency to treat NBA players like regular athletes at times and Kawhi doesn't seem like the kind of guy who is willing to deal with that.

I'm not, kawhi really isn't the player everyone remembers.  He doesn't play as much of the season that he needs to be effective for his team.  Don't know the circumstances but the Clippers could have ended it for him.  Without kawhi the Clippers are cooked so he needs as much rest on that body as he can get.  Is it out why he left yet?
