The Los Angeles Lakers had a close one tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. They pulled away at the end to win by 17 but it was a closer game than the score showed. LeBron had a nice assist to Bronny for a 3. Luka had 41. Austin Reeves went on a tear at the end of the game to end with 26.

Ben Simmons is literally out of the league, he is not even playing, so nobody is like him. A dude who is seen as a great future player for Sixers, being out after just this short span of time and being this bad is a proof that he did everything wrong, and he did everything he shouldn't have done. Also injuries did keep him out for too long, and that could be one of the reasons.

Could Ben Simmons make a comeback? Well, if he gets healthy and better then he could try out for some teams during the summer and give it a chance but I doubt that any team really would want him back. Let me put it this way, dude is now doing fishing, yes you heard it, dude is now fishing as a way to spend his time. If he gets healthy maybe, but I doubt he has a way back anymore.

I wouldn't trust the Nets, they are one of the worst team and worst organization in the NBA. And I don't think that they are going to win against the Lakers even if they have a solid 3 quarters, doesn't guarantee that they are closing it out in the the last quarter.

Just like in this game, Lakers put on a massive last quarter to beat them. Only consolidation is that Luka is going to be suspended for a game because he got a technical foul here. Some random goated Luka, and so both of them have been called a technical foul.

Remember him. One of the biggest earners in the NBA in a single season, but didn’t really contribute to the team as expected. This is where teams really need to be smarter, because injuries can change everything. Their investment can easily turn into nothing because of that.

I think there are other players like that as well. What about John Wall. He also earned a huge salary, but injuries hit him hard, and now he’s no longer in the NBA. I kinda miss those Wizards teams with him and Beal, they were making the playoffs and actually made things interesting.

As for the games last light, Hornets defeating the Knicks, and again Kon 6/10 in the 3 point area. Making history again and making his case for the ROTY. Fun to see him and Ball shooting that long three's and hitting it.

Yeah Jokic still has a chance for MVP award this season, but the problem is his chances lower down since Shai,Doncic and Wemby is consistently doing well recently and always tallied high numbers each time they play. I like Luka to win the MVP award this season since if we look at his stats, he's stats is more better than Shai this season.

Jokic is a great player, don2t get me wrong, he is one of the best if not the best player in the league. He is not just a big man, he is doing what every big man should, he is great inside, he is good (sort of ) on defense, and he rebounds, all of the big man things, but he is also a great playmaker and passer that the entire system runs around him.

But we have to realize voters' fatigue already, dude already won MVP, and he is not doing anything different, he is just the same Jokic, so of course people want to reward others. NBA always had "mvp is not the best player in the league this season" awards to people all the time, if that was the case Kobe and Lebron would have 5+ each.

I absolutely dont like the current state of the NBA. The timeouts last for 5 minutes and they completely ruin the flow of the game, especially in the first quarter. I want to turn on the TV and actually watch the game but instead, we’re forced to watch 5 minutes of entertainment... every time there’s a whistle. Am I supposed to enjoy the sport like this? The San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks are about to face off on Amazon Prime. Should be a good game to watch with a couple of the NBAs biggest stars. I think San Antonio will walk away with the win, but I’m expecting it to be a good game no matter what the end result.

I've just opened Prime, I didn't realize the game was this early. But the Spurs are winning comfortably anyway, since the Bucks have nothing to play for. Castle made a triple-double already, and Wemby was just 4 assists short in just 30 minutes. It looks pretty certain that the Spurs will finish 2nd.

In a couple of minutes there's also the Pistons vs. Timberwolves game. I guess this will be my 3rd Pistons game on broadcast this week. It's more important for the Twolves to win, but I see the Pistons as the favorites.
Edit: It seems like Prime won't broadcast this game. The schedule shows the game on April 3rd.

I know teams will eventually figure out how to reduce his impact on matches, it's just going to almost impossible to stop when all he does is impacting the game on both ends of the floor, he single handedly makes the Spurs one of the best defensive only by being on the court, his presence alone makes everyone second guess themselves about trying to get into the paint or trying to score while he's lurking around, and it's also tough guarding him. I mean they didn't beat the best team in the league 3 times this season by luck.

Indeed, there are chances that even how big the lead in the first 3 quarters the team can still collapse in the final and be outscored by the opposing squad, ending the game pulling a complete upset, there's no guarantee especially now that the elimination is getting nearer, those who already in the position will keep or will try to improved their games to make sure they will kee the slot or make some advantages with the spot they've got.

I don't watch NBA much until the playoffs, NCAA is much more interesting and a lot less tanking. Tanking IMO is what kills NBA basketball. Fans pay money to see their teams compete and they get screwed because of politics and draft position.

Wemby has rapidly become a top 5 player in the league and shows no signs of slowing down. If the Spurs don't win the championship this year I would be shocked.

But what I really luke Wemby is that he's all ball and play as hard as he can and I think that stamina will be built over time considering he's just young as 22. I wish they could keep this Spurs lineup as long as they can, they will be a problem tbh.

The Pistons get a much more comfortable win than expected. They managed to do it without relying on Duren offensively. Harris is providing leadership as the veteran. And Jenkins' development has been outstanding while Cunningham's still out. He's made the most of his opportunity, I don't think his minutes will drop too much even when Cunningham returns.

This team is like the old pistons they don't rely solely in one player as everyone can contribute with cunningham is resting and recovering from injury, this is a good test and also preparation for the team to work without him, and will help when his on the bench, they are secured in the playoffs so no need to rush his recovery, they should also manage players, in the east there are teams that can beat them so they better be ready on cavs , celtics

Speaking of the Hornets, it looks like they have choke against the Sixers in tonight game. They have a double digit lead early but it was slowly eaten away by the Sixers. The big 3 of Sixers though tonight is on point, with Embiid 29 points and that crucial block, then PG with 26, same with Maxey.

So it's a big win for the Sixers, tough lost for the Hornets as they are trying to get into a good position in the playoffs.

Not the usual scoring for Kon, 3 out 10 from the 3 point line, and just 3 out of 14 for the outside, to go with just 11 points. He is averaging close to 20 points per game in context.

What's good about the Pistons is that they have lots of players who can step up on offense if their all-star player doesn't have a good night or if their all-star player/s is/are out.

Robinson, Harris, Thompson, and even some of the bench are helping on offense as well. Also that Daniss Jenkins is also stepping up as well, and having some career-high games as well with Cade being out because of an injury. Overall, the future of the team is good, and I would also say that they're the team that can compete against the likes of Boston, Cleveland, and the Knicks. They just need to develop their players, and gain some playoff experience, and they're good to go.
Nobody's talking about this, but are there anybody here that are surprised about how the Raptors are playing this regular season? I mean I didn't expect them to be at the top 6 of the standings right now after an awful performance last year. If you will ask me which Eastern team surprised me the most, I'll pick the Raptors because of how good they are this year compared to last year.
