I just don't like this serious kind of All-Star games. I would rather see the show version back. Because it just felt like those games were no different than regular season ones.

I only liked the parts of Kawhi's carrying his team and Wemby's high effort. Jokic - Doncic were again the same. They didn't care about the event. They weren't even a part of the 2nd game for Team World.

Man, There are 90 percent or more people who are fans of NBA who wants to see a serious Basketbal in all star where the supertars players battle for a great game and making fans love the game more because all of their superstar player is in one court and playing against each other.
We are missing 90s all star where everyone is looking to get the win. We havethose fun moments in shoot outs dunks and other events.

Yes, I do want to see them play competitive in this All Star, I think though we might have seen some glimpse of it as there are blocks that has been registered in this game and Kahwi stole one ball from Wemby. But then again, when this guys are shooting from the outside, the logo and showing their deadly shots, it might have taken the seriousness of the game. I think it did better than the previous All Star games at least for me with some competitiveness amongst them. Lillard was a big surprised to win I thought the rookie will do it the first time in history. The regular game will resume on February 19, there's a lot of games and this is the final push for teams to make the playoff or go into the playin. Pistons vs Knicks will be good and then the Rockets vs Hornets.

I liked the games, it was fun to watch. I didn't expect the gap in the final to be that big, since all the other games had been really close. But Antman was clearly locked in on winning, he was very motivated. I'm happy that Cade and Jalen won as well. Kawhi was amazing in the second game, but he couldn't do much in the final.
Doncic, Jokic (only 5 mins in first game), SGA and Giannis didn't play for the World team. If they had, maybe they could've won. In the end it's an entertainment tournament and they don't care about that much anyway.

Now that the All-Star break is over, we can focus on the remaining 30 games and the play-off standings.

Kawhi definitely played against the world like a superstar, he was quite MVP level but they lost so he couldn't get it, it's rare that the loser gets the MVP no matter how good a player plays. But the reality is that this type of bracket style really worked, like it wasn't league style but it wasn't playoff style, it was whatever, rubin something they call it, whatever that was, it really worked because nobody wanted to be the loser.

World ended up losing and that will make the Americans feel like they are the best yet again lol, normally a team of players around the world should easily defeat the American team, but I think it wasn't really a game where it showed, and unfortunately the world lost, hopefully net year world will come back better .

I'm not entirely sure about this season's organization, but it featured some of the most competitive and colorful all-star performances in history. It was almost like watching the Dream Team's Olympic performances. This new format is quite nice. Both US teams taught the world team a lesson, as if to say, "We'll apply this standard to you in the Olympics too," and turned their final match into a walkover. From that perspective alone, the match lost its appeal. It felt like the final match shouldn't have happened or should have been in a different format. However, apart from that, it was a very nice and exciting event.

For real, each player has few minutes of playing time due to the limited time which doesn’t demonstrate the real potential and pressure on the game.

Instead of round robin they should just make the regular 2 teams and play a whole match since no one wants to see an introboys playing style.

USA against the World is already a good matchup but somehow they manage to still destroy it by making the game mechanics a joke.

I disagree a lot. I think this was one of the best all-star games we have seen in a long long time. I know the final game was a bit let down and didn't expected it to be this much of a big margin, but for 3 games we had last minute winners and that should be showing the world how they actually found a format that made people actually want to play.

Wemby had a big part in it and Kawhi too, those two really played out there like they want to win and not just fun entertainment thing. Finally seeing the teams play as well as they could and players actually caring about the results were very important and this is why I think the method works.

I liked the way there were players who took All-Star matches serious last night truthfully. Because I'm one of those people who don't like to see a no defense All-Star match. 

However I can't still say all the players take it serious. You have already given examples of it on previous posts. I just wish the final match was more competitive though.

I was very impressed with the Performances of the All-Star game, it was a good performance from the players, the game was taken seriously and it was obviously quite entertaining, it was a good dunking contest and was a nice watch.

Yes, all the players took it seriously, but I just believe it was just a more entertaining, it was an amazing and special experience for them, and likewise I felt more interested to see what the World team would do and also what Team USA would also do, but the all round game was very impressive and interesting.

If there is a progress then they should just go on with it! You can't make everyone satisfied in the end. The important thing is to attract more people in time. By the way I hope people who didn't want to see Kawhi in this event realized how much wrong they were...

So with those record presented we can see that not all All star game is boring. But I agree that the current set up is pretty nice compare to what we have seen for many All star event on new era. They really made interesting set up and since they get lots of good recognition for sure future All star games will became more competitive just like what we have seen this year.

That's what I was saying in an earlier post as well, we looked forward to the All Star weekend for everything wasn't just an individual event we wanted to see we wanted to see everything now it's not so much the same. The players would be the ones to blame really cause they are the main attraction and if they don't put 100% into the show then what can you really expect right?

Kawhi's performance was so wonderful in that game against Team World, like he was in his prime at Toronto Raptors. It's nice that he did that. I think the Clippers should find a way to pair better with him. He looks very healthy, and his performance showed nothing slowing him down.

But with Harden leaving and the Clippers in the 10th spot, it's going to be hard for him to shoulder it all alone. He is 34 years old, it may just be a few years more before he shows aging in his performance, so they better maximize the usage of him and surround him with more good roleplayers.

This will only matter if NBA really investigates it. For now, there’s still no official statement, so this just feels like drama.

We can’t really connect it to Kevin Durant yet because nothing is verified. Yes, he already admitted before that he used burner accounts, but that doesn’t automatically mean this one is his. Until there’s solid proof, it’s all speculation. Better not jump to conclusions based on rumors.

There’s a chance it’s true, otherwise people wouldn’t be talking about it this much. But until the NBA really investigates and asks X to cooperate, this is still just rumors. We can’t just link it to Kevin Durant without solid proof. Yes, he admitted before about burner accounts, but that doesn’t mean this one is his.

If it turns out to be true, then that’s not professional at all for a superstar. Suspension is possible, and it can damage his reputation badly. And if he’s with the Houston Rockets, this kind of issue can also affect how his teammates see him. Once trust is gone, it’s hard to get back.

You might just be looking at his stats, not how he plays or how he treats his teammates. He won't end his career but he's past his prime long time ago. He'll probably play 3 more seasons at most, but I'm sure he won't retire with the Rockets. He'll likely get traded to another team at the end of this season.

As for the Rockets, I've been one of the most positive about them here, but as the season goes on I can be objective enough to see that they're falling behind other teams. They have good pieces, but they don't have the mental.

It's possible, he'll get the attention then. With the break that the NBA has got now, we will see if the management will give him something that he'd laugh about and will just take it not so seriously. That's how it goes for him.

I agree, it won't be a big anymore for him if it's about it. He's the one dictating his career and we'd see it if that will be a factor if ever he's out of the Rockets.
