Warriors have decent players, if we look at their starters.

Their problem is their bench https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/GSW/2027.html they don't have deep bench, then it seems that they might only last on earliest round in playoffs.

It doesn't look decent to me. I don't believe Kristaps Porzingis will be healthy the whole season. He has that bad reputation of missing so many games. Plus, he is not the explosive type of player.

They need Butler back to make it look decent, and you also said that about the second-stringers. It doesn't look good, too. As much as I hate to say it, I would agree that the Warriors might not have a good chance to make the playoff with that lineup. It's no longer working with Kerr, his formula for old players are not a viable option in the NBA right now as the team is getting younger, like OKC and the Spurs.

I do think that they are going to trade Butler, he might have been a perfect fit for them before his injuries. But now, he has not used for them. They might get lucky to be the last seed in the playoff but like the previous year, they will have a hard time getting pass that 1st round.

Well, he would likely come off the bench with Curry, Podziemski, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and a center as the probable starters.

But being a bench player does not mean he cannot contribute. I believe Kuminga could still get good minutes, and who knows, maybe even compete for Sixth Man of the Year if he plays really well.

We don’t really know the main reason behind his decision, but one thing is clear, looking at the contract he ended up getting, he probably has some regrets about turning down the Warriors’ offer.

Maybe he has some regrets, but as early as last season, there has been a lot of noises that Kuminga wanted out of the Warriors already. And when the arrival of Butler, his playing time diminishes so obviously that could be another straw of him playing outside of the Warriors.

So he might not be looking at that contract already and have set his eyes to be traded. And it was granted as he moves to the Hawks. But he was not also get his playing time there and the thoughts that he will become a corner store didn't materialized as they are moving into a different direction.

With the Wolves though, there's a lot of expectations from him, so he really have to performed and together with ANT, should be a fun team to watch next season.

For me, JC is even a better example. He accepted a lower contract, kept playing his role, and now he is already a champion with the Knicks. _{( sorry for bringing him in here).}

JC has around $3.9 million with the Knicks this coming season, way lower than Kuminga, but at least in his career he was already able to get a big contract.

His biggest was around $50 million for 4 years with the Lakers, so he already had his chance to earn good money in his prime. Now he is no longer that young, so for me this is the right path, play with a championship team and hopefully get a ring before retiring, which he did.

He became a support role on the team and accepted that contract because he knows business and soon, there will be no more contracts for him to receive once he's done on the league and the Knicks won't be willing to offer him anymore contract. But at least, he's got the championship already and that's one of the best achievements that all NBA players are looking for before they retire. I guess that he'll continue to stay for as long as he's got a contract and regardless of the amount, he's loved by the fans and he's got that passion until he's no longer needed.

I agree, I think whoever made those accusations and articles have been bumping up the situation for Kuminga.
But let's say that they're for real, I don't think that Kuminga will be getting out of the GSW given that he's going to get that contract.
It's only about his personal decision and want to explore better opportunities but ending up losing the better one from the GSW.

No, the reason he left was because he was looking for a bigger contract. He wanted more than what the Warriors were offering, but based on what we see in the news, that turned out to be a wrong decision because he ended up getting less than $10M per year.

Kuminga has talent, that cannot be denied, but he is still young and he has not proven that he can lead a team like Curry and other established stars. So I don’t think he should already expect a huge salary.

He isn't for the championships but into the larger contract. He wants to max out as long as he can.
But then, teams which these players came from sees if they're going to be there for a while.

Steve Kerr really hates using rookies on his team, and that's why we haven't see Kuminga so much playing time on GS as well when he's still there. Now that kind of strategy is backfiring already because right now, the younger teams are the ones that are dominating the league just lke the Thunder, Spurs, and let's add the Knicks to the mix out of respect.

I will not deny this one, but I've been a Warrior fan since before the dynasty has ever started, and I will be as long as Curry is there, but looking at their roster, they're just done, and can't compete anymore. The best thing that they can do now is to give Curry the extension, and assuming that he will sign, they'll trade him in order for the rebuild to happen. Aside from that, they should trade Butler as well if there's a team that still wants him, but the problem is he's on an expiring contract, so I wonder if there's any team who will try and get him, or they'll just simply wait for him to become a free agent.

This team will go to a rebuilding phase soon. Maybe next year, or as soon as Curry gets traded (assuming that he will be), or maybe if Curry retires. One thing's for sure, this team isn't a title contender team anymore and as a Warrior fan, just think of it really sucks.

Another thing is that teams have also adapted to the 3-point shooting era. During the Warriors’ dominant years, only a few teams could really match their shooting, while Curry and the Warriors were excellent at it. They could even play small ball because almost everyone on the floor could shoot.

But now things have changed. Most teams already understand how important 3-point shooting is, and Curry is no longer at his absolute prime.

The league is getting younger too, so I think the younger stars will eventually dominate. It will be much harder for older players like Curry or LeBron to win another championship unless they have a really strong supporting cast.

I think it’s not just about Curry. During his prime, he was surrounded by great players who could really contribute.

It would be nice if they retire in the same team at the same time sadly its all about business and they have to move on, if not with injuries gsw could or maybe won a few more, although it would be a bit hard because their supporting cast like shawn and other players who make a good help everytime they are on a brink of being defeated are already retired, still they have a good run, GSW would need to rebuild to make another shot of the title, so lets wait how GSW will deal with making another dynasty.

Well there's a lot of NBA players right now that doesn't have a team. DeRozan for one almost got no callers and he was absorbed by the Nuggets just in time for just 1 season. It's probably the caliber of players right now that makes it hard for someone to be pick up if you don't have that resume.

Not saying that Oladipo is not a good player, but it's obvious that when he got injured he was no longer the same athletic player. Maybe he can hope but no longer within the caliber of NBA players of today that teams are looking for.

At 34 years old, I still believe he can still ball out there. I mean any team out there could give him a non-guaranteed contract just to try him, and if he can't contribute to that team then I guess it's safe to say that his career is over in the NBA. I still wonder why there are no other teams that are trying to get him. Heck even that Ben Simmons is gaining more interest than him after the mental breakdown that happened to him. I guess AGENT matters then.

I don't want to specifically say teams, but any team might need him. Whether it's Washington, or Utah, or maybe New Orleans. Whatever team it is, at least they should try him. Injuries might be a problem with him but before that, we can't deny that he's one of the best players out there and also athletic.

The team already has lots of bigs already. I guess they signed him for more entertainment because let's not forget that Tacko Fall has been a fan-favorite when he's on the Celtics. TACKO TUESDAY!!!!

I don't think that they are just getting Tacko for teh fund of it. But we can remember that the Sixers did get Mark McClung and then joined the dunk contest and won. As for Tacko he can still play and maybe the Sixers are looking like a good 5-10 minutes of playing time and get the needed rebounds.

And maybe the team will be the one getting all the fun specially Lebron James. Imagine him, passing the ball to Tacko for that easy dunk. And how time flies, it's already September and next month we will see the start of the next season.

I saw that Thanasis Antetokounmpo is leaving the NBA to play overseas now that Giannis has left the Bucks and is no longer carrying him along for the ride.  Still, he got to be an NBA champion and make a ton of money.  You can't ask for too much more than that.
