I don't think the Knicks will be the same team last year they will have some games, but for sure it will be different, they might already check brunson, and yes the east is loaded this year, not to mention the sixers is already a 2nd playoff bound in my opinion, i would like to see knicks and sixers again, if lebron will play brunson can brunson outplay lebron, since some are saying lebron always lose to small guys?
Raptors will not be in the playoffs unless they acquire someone who can also carry the team, leonard can't but his presence is still crucial.

I didn't think the Knicks were that great last year but they got it done.  I hope they sent a thank you gift to the Minnesota Timberwolves, as they are the true heroes that made it happen...

I suspect the Knicks were probably celebrating all offseason and are going to get destroyed on opening night (not totally uncommon for champions on their next game).  We'll see, but it seems like in today's NBA, the path through the playoffs and who is healthy are the most important factors of who wins the championship.

When KAT has been added on Knicks last year, many people already projected that they are already a title contender. They have talented roster which capable to defeat those top rated teams in NBA.

Wolves really helps them a lot in this championship, since if the trade didn't happened. Maybe they didn't won a championship last year.

Hard to guess if Knicks will get destroyed by Sixers in opening night, since first Knicks roster is well established although they lost one reliable player. But their core still intact, so most provably it will not cause them lots of issue. Also Sixers is a new team and even if we know they are strong in papers, maybe they struggle to established chemistry in opening night. What happen to the Raptors? Why at the first place? This is too much for an old guy that is prone to injury. Actually 1 problem is the injury but more of it is his team management. I dont now but his team will not let Kawhi play even he is clear to play.
For me, this trade should not happen and too much for the exachange.

First, Kawhi led the Raptors to their very first title back in 2019. Second, we can't deny the fact that Kawhi is an all-star player WHEN HEALTHY, and that's the one that they're gambling. TBH, I can't blame the Raptors management with this decision of them. Add also the fact that Kawhi averaged a career-high 27.9 PPG last season. They believed that he'll produce the same numbers hence, the trade happened.

Also, the Raptors are planning on giving him an extension. That just shows how desperate the team to let him stay despite of his age, and being an injury-prone player. Do I see the new Raptors team as a title contender? TBH, it's hard to see them as one because there are other teams out there like the Knicks, Celtics, Sixers, and let's add the Pacers as well now that Hali is back. It's harder for the Raptors right now to compete against them even though they have Barrett, Barnes, Quickley, and now Kawhi. On the flip side, I will not be surprised if they'll clinch the Conference Finals at least.

As for the trade package, like what I said, the Raptors are that desperate to get Kawhi, and the Clippers leveraged the fact that Kawhi just had an amazing season last year. Those are for me the reason why this trade happened. Well, it's already finished so... I guess it's time to move on from this one? It's a good thing. The NBA for other people is starting to become boring, and I think they need something new to keep their energy up. It may also be the purpose of the commissioner on why he is doing this. The money coming in will be the bonus of it.
There are still many players and undrafted ones who doesn't have a contract so I think it will be easy to fill those teams considering how many colleges have players who are waiting to be drafted. It means more jobs created.

If every team has only one superstar then it will be like the old days where the competition is a bit dull, while other teams will use some kind of loophole where they will get aging superstar and make a team which look like not a super team, others might take advantage of this, at the same time, new players or stars are like drama queen and wanted bigger salary even though they are not performing very well, seems they are exposing each others rule, to be taken advantage, there are only few players who are still in the league , after that the new breed will now start the nba, lets see where will it fall.

I have to agree with this. I they asked me 20 years ago, what would I expect from the players around 2025, I would say crazy dunks and athleticism. We don't see that anymore or very rarely see it. 35+ years old stars don't even dunk anymore or the young guys just shoot threes, barely driving to the rim. If I want to watch high IQ good quality basketball, we already have Euroleague. Basketball quality is times and times better over there. NBA should be more about marketing and flash moves etc. I don't think NBA is giving us that anymore. They are also in the process of buying Euroleague I heard. I hope that will not happen. So, two more teams eventually will not improve NBA. I don't see any way it makes NBA better. Just more money.

Yeah, that's true. This can somehow boost the fans who are probably bored with a repetitive type of league. Something new will make it more competitive, and it will make the game more unpredictable. The effect of having new teams means superstars are spread across different teams. The balance is uncertain (well, it has always been), but many stars will probably try to pave their road in a fresher environment.

This was already planned long ago, but there might be some legal action that is being taken care of by the NBA and the management. The last I read about it is that they will apply it after 1 or 2 more seasons, but the votes will be finalized this year. The drafts will be expanded too for their roster to be filled.

I think the rules changes the game, that is why we are seeing it as soft, but in my opinion the style of play evolves but there is still physicality the refs are just their to protect the players and the league because once the players got injured the team are the one dealt with a big blow, they are going to pay players without playing, etc.,

It has evolved so much already that teams in EU was able to catch up with the NBA. That's why they have to send their best again on the last Olympics to secure the gold medal because they were beaten in the FIBA cup.

We will see, I think it's the opposite for me because when there will be more teams then there's a need to get more talents and young generational ones will be scouted and will require them to have more to fill these slots for these teams.
