And with Curry, it's really good that he stays loyal on the franchise, he's the face of GSW even when he retires for decades to come, no one comes close and I think it's also good to have that reputation rather than chase what he already has.
This is the best news I've heard, and the fans will certainly love it. Curry made the Warriors a championship team, so it's just right that he will be honored. He should retire with the team and eventually have his jersey retired as well, just like MJ with the Bulls. That's the kind of player who really values his team and the fans more than his personal interests. For me, Curry has already achieved everything he needs to be considered a future Hall of Famer. No one doubts that Curry is a future Hall of Famer. However, no matter how loyal the Warriors and Curry are to each other, sooner or later they’ll have to part ways because age will eventually catch up with him. My point is that when Curry nears retirement, the Warriors will have to rebuild their roster, and clearly not around him. Still up to Curry though, if he just want to be on the few greats that stay with their team forever until their retire. But knowing him, yes, it's possible that he might part ways with them. Just remember his Under Armour deal, he remains loyal with them until everything feel apart. So if him and the Warrior management might have a disagreement, just like what we have heard as they didn't get any from the free agency again, it could trigger Steph to find a new home and there might be a ugly divorce.

The thing is that the Spurs are loaded with guards already, and I don't think that it will be a good trade if ever they will do it. They might trade Fox, but they might get someone t that is not a guard. But could be a shooter or more of a perimeter defender or someone that can complement Wemby inside. I know that it looks like Fox was the scape goat for them last season losing the Finals, but we all have to remember that they don't have any experience, not even Fox himself.I feel bad about it because I also criticized how Fox played in the Finals, but I just realized that they're all first timers. The head coach, the players, Fox, Wemby, everybody. All of them are first timers, and I've emphasized it here already the importance of playoff experience in winning and the recent NBA Finals is the best example of it. Looking at what the Spurs need right now, TBH anybody will be a great fit for the team. They have guards already, they also have wing players that could help Wemby on the paint. If there's one specific requirement that the Spurs want right now, it's another big that could be their 3rd option just in case Wemby get injured since Kornet will be their starting Center if that happens. Aside from that, any player will just be a "plug-and-play" for the team.

it was certain that Luka Doncic be the main player after the Lakers trade but i never thought every single contract would be made with Doncic's personal approval. He really built a team around himself with his own hands and it looks like they're going to play Doncic ball this season.

Not surprising to see those situation happening in Lakers, since they want to build around Luka. So its normal that they would grant his request, especially on signing players that fits on his preferences. This is actually the main reason why Lakers decide to part ways on Lebron, because they want to focus on much younger Luka to see if they would get more better run next season. Huge pressure now in Lakers knowing that many speculators are actively monitoring about what's going to happen with this team now Luka take the lead and Lebron is out in their team.

They have no LeBron now, so no one is messing around with Doncic. He is the king of the LA Lakers now, and if they want to succeed, they need to build around him. Reaves is playing at a very high level too, but Doncic is just different. The Lakers will eventually start looking like the new Dallas, built around Luka, while Dallas... I really don't know what direction that team is going anymore.

I don't see it that way. It's the first season since LeBron left, so people will understand if the team still needs time to adjust. But since Luka is special, of course people will have higher expectations. If the Lakers can reach the playoffs, that's already big because it would show that losing LeBron wasn't really a huge setback for the team. And there's another interesting part, what if the Sixers actually mess up this season? How would the public react to that? I think more eyes and pressure might actually be on the Sixers than on the Lakers right now.

Lebron is the one who carry the team to the playoffs last season, if he did not add more minutes they wont be in the playoffs, luka and AR are not in the playoffs but they still manage to win the first round, meaning the lakers with lebron and other players who are old, are able to turn the tables, if the pair if luka and AR will not be able to reach the playoffs or even move to second round, this will be funny for the Lakers because they choose to give AR big contract and luka also as a primary player yet unable to reach the playoffs or be in the second round.

But the problem is they were playing a Rockets team without their best player. If Durant was there, I don't think the Lakers would have had the same chance of winning that round. LeBron had the experience, and that was a big reason why the young Rockets team lost that matchup. We saw how the Rockets made mistakes under pressure, especially in those games at home. If they had won those two home games, the situation could have been very different. But because of their lack of experience, they became careless and nervous, while LeBron and the Lakers knew how to take advantage of those moments.

I wouldn't say that they have pressure, in fact they can play under the radar since Lebron already left and it's a new brand with Luka. Only Reaves was left in the starting five from last year, so it's a complete revamp. We all know that Luka has the experience already, specially making his team looks good when he was with the Mavs. So that could be the likely scenario since he is now the new face of the Lakers.

I agree. I don't think the expectations are very high for Luka. The people know it will take a year or two to really build a team around him that can win a championship. You never know because Luka sort of plays basketball by himself, so if he has his best ever year he could carry them. I think the team with the real pressure is Philadelphia. They have some of the best talent in the world on that team. If they can't make a deep playoff run, it will be disappointment for sure. With LeBron and Embiid on the team, I think injury will keep them from winning it all, but we'll see.

Agreed. The expectations for the Sixers are now higher. Even as a Warriors fan, I have high expectations for the Sixers. The last time the Sixers made it to the Conference Finals was in 2001. Although the regular season and playoffs are different, if their regular season performance improves, that's a good indication that they might be a true contender. If LeBron can facilitate his teammates like Brown more effectively, they are in. I expect LeBron to be their playmaker rather than being their main offensive option. He now has 3 teammates that average over 20 ppg. The only thing that I see that will hold the Sixers back is Embiid's availability.

He has always been like that since he was no longer in his prime, the attacking in the paint is not the same anymore and he is less aggressive, but he plays smarter now. A big guy who can handle the ball and make good passes can still be very useful, especially if the chemistry is there. With Maxey, Edgecombe and the other talent they already have, adding a good PG could really solve a lot of problems. They already have players who can attack and they also have outside shooting, so the talent is there. What they really need now is a good coach, better chemistry and someone who can organize the offense properly.

Yeah, the pressure is on Lebron with the Sixers, he just sign a two year contract, meaning there is this expectation that within that time frame, the Sixers will have to get into the Finals or win a championship, otherwise it's over for Lebron. As compare to the Lakers, no timeframe, of course, they will have to perform better with Luka as their new franchise player. And there will be no comparison to Lebron, although LBJ did bring a ring to the Lakers in the bubble. But for Luka, he will just have to see how his new team will look in this upcoming season and make the adjustment as he still have Reaves as the second option for them.

No, they cannot really pressure LeBron that much because they did not give him a huge contract. He only signed for around $8 million for 2 years, meaning about $4 million per season. If there are players who should feel more pressure, it should be those receiving much bigger salaries than him. These numbers are real, and this is roughly how much they are getting this season: Embiid - $58 million Brown - $57 million Maxey - $40 million So compared to them, LeBron is playing on a very small contract. If the Sixers fail, I don't think all the blame should automatically go to him.

But Lebron said that it's not about the money, so obviously, he is obligated to play with the Sixers but still his target is to win a ring. It could be more on their young core and also Jaylen Brown. However, we can't deny that Lebron join the Sixers because he believes that he has a good chance to win his 5th right. So he might really go for it, like continue his average of well above 20 ppg with them. Luka is very different situation, first time that he will handle the Lakers and so there could be a lot of experiments and chemistry testing.

His legacy is at stake here, that's why he joined a strong team that could possibly give him another championship. But if the Sixers fail again, I would not blame LeBron for that. The team is already intact even without him, with Brown and Embiid that's already a playoff team. LeBron is just a bonus to the team, so whether joining the Sixers was the right or wrong decision for him will really depend on the result. Luka is very different situation, first time that he will handle the Lakers and so there could be a lot of experiments and chemistry testing.
Chemistry should not be an excuse anymore. It's not like this is Luka's first year with the team, they already had a full season to build chemistry. So now, he is expected to do his job and lead the team. After all, he is already used to being the main man because that was his role in Dallas before he was traded. The responsibility is nothing new to him.

The 76ers' results will probably come down to luck to some extent. By luck, I mean whether their key players can actually stay healthy throughout the season. That's a big question mark with Embiid and LeBron, since both missed quite a few games last season due to injuries. As for LeBron's numbers, I still think he can put up a lot of points per game, especially if he focuses more on scoring and less on doing a bit of everything.

As for LeBron's numbers, I still think he can put up a lot of points per game, especially if he focuses more on scoring and less on doing a bit of everything. It's always about Embiid's health of Embiid which is the reason why the 76ers are having a hard time either entering the playoffs or being in the 2nd round. About the 76ers, they actually have a problem right now. 76ers news: Joel Embiid’s backup suffers foot injury that could bleed into training camphttps://sports.yahoo.com/articles/76ers-news-joel-embiid-backup-222927501.htmlAdem Bona apparently suffered a foot injury recently, and the 76ers' backup center will be sidelined in the meantime before being re-evaluated closer to the start of training camp. The third-year big man is projected to play a crucial role this season as the 76ers lost last year's backup center, Andre Drummond, to the defending champion New York Knicks via free agency. They may need to use a forward to be up against Embiid during training camp. The problem is they don't really have a big forward that can be matched to him. Still, this is a bad sign for the 76ers if injuries happen regularly to their backup center. Embiid's knees will never heal to 100 percent anymore, so he needs his minutes to be restricted and also to maximize his effectiveness when he is fully rested. The good part is that Adam Bona has a good 2 year history of games played. 58 and 71. Nice.

Huge pressure now in Lakers knowing that many speculators are actively monitoring about what's going to happen with this team now Luka take the lead and Lebron is out in their team.
The management is the one who is under pressure no matter what happen you should not blame LeBron if they can't make it to the finals or win a chip, he is already 41-42 yrs of age, this is on the young players around him, lebron career is not over even if they did not win, other team will recruit him even if he will not play like before because on the business side, he is still the king, he can still put numbers but not like before but having him in the team is already a big boost financially and business side.
