I am crossing my fingers that it will not be the last time we will see Kyrie at his top performance, and maybe Cooper Flagg can help with that. Use Kyrie as a pure PG, feeding him with lobs and assists.
That should be his role, to make his teammates better, because if he will carry the team all the time the offense will become too predictable. What's good with Irving is he loves to attack, so he needs to be surrounded by confident players who are willing to shoot the ball. The Mavs lack shooters, so I am guessing they will keep on attacking on every possession. Yeah, we will see.
You are right on this one, but they don't really lack shooters literally as they have guys like Max Christie who has a high percentage from 3, and other players too, but some of them are barely used. But lets see what adjustments they will make, because even Irving is a good 3 point shooter as well. The problem is Flagg shot less than 30% last season, while P.J. Washington can be dangerous from 3 but he is still inconsistent.

He was diagnosed with this disease before postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)And also base on what I read in the source https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/16560-postural-orthostatic-tachycardia-syndrome-potsPostural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition that causes a number of symptoms when you transition from lying down to standing up, such as a fast heart rate, dizziness and fatigue. While there’s no cure, several treatments and lifestyle changes can help manage the symptoms of POTS. So meaning this is really terrible for Porzingis and it seems that he cannot play normal basketball anymore, because he's perfomance will became limited due to this illness. This is really bad for GSW, since its hard for them to expect that he can play long minutes and more games to.

That's a three contract and he's got a plan around him and Cooper too. He's the second highest paid in the team.
Right now, if he remains healthy for the remainder of the season I guess that we'd see Mavs reach longer than they did.
Are there yet any other rumors for the other teams that includes big trades?
The mavs need to play on what they have since they have no cap space unless they are going to trade players or swap with other teams, they need to make those pieces work because they are already over the cap space, certainly earvin don't want to get injured but his style of play is really prone to injuries, that is why preparation for a season should be prepare or is 100% condition for kyrie, we hope that he is healthy and is able to play in the remainder of the season, been long since i see him healthy all the way, always getting injured in crucial moments. This could be his very last three-year contract with the Mavs if another major injury breaks him or he can get traded for a more better experienced player that's not injury prone. There might be some adjustments for him and he knows his body well and how the team really needs him badly if they are for the chip this season. The strong teams have their reserved players just in case that some of their key players get injured.

Perhaps a little bit backtracking on the topic, but I recall we had a discussion about the first player to reach $1 million per game in salary. AI said that Anthony Edwards will be the first guy to do it. That may be technically true since contracts aren't at a set price each year, but go up over time... I just read an article that said Jokic may actually be the first guy to get a contract that averages more than $1 million per game over the life of the contract. We'll have to wait and see for sure I guess. Personally, I wouldn't give an aging big man carrying a lot of weight a massive long-term contract, but that's just me.

Then, GSW can't use him properly again. Too bad, he is still young. At 31, he should be at least in his prime or a bit past his prime. He should have been a big help for the offense of the Warriors. With his health condition, even with his talent, I don't think he will still be in the league until his late 30s. Even a vet minimum is a question in 2028 for him. What is talent if they can't use him? I was just hoping he would get better next season, only to find out that he is out again before the season even starts.

They look super scary in those pictures, NGL. But we all know on paper doesn't carry much weight in the NBA. I'd love to see everyone of them drop any kind of ego and self righteous mentality, that could be their biggest obstacle. Kristaps Porzingis is out indefinitely with unspecified health issue. Terrible news for the Golden State Warriors and more for Kristaps who has had some pretty serious health problems in the past. Prayers for KP. I hope he gets better soon.
That would have Golden State Warriors in a fix, will the be forced to give up Jimmy Butler in a trade, or is there any kind of hope for the Warriors to make a play on the season with just Draymond Green and Steph ? EDIT: Is anyone else following the Jalen Duren contract extension saga, he's rejected the latest $200 million/5 years contract offered by the Piston, has there ever been any guy in the league that turned down such offer to sign for the minimum qualifying offer and enter free agency ? I don't think so.

This is really bad for GSW, since its hard for them to expect that he can play long minutes and more games to. I really wonder why the Warriors' front office didn't consider looking at this health issue of "Tingus Pingus" first before handing him the 2-year $40M contract. I mean it's not secret that he had that illness, but they still handed him that huge of a contract. With $20M, you can already sign 2-3 role players that could be better and healthier than him. Terrible for "Tingus Pingus", but more terrible for the Warriors as a whole because after giving Butler basically free money because of injury, they might be handing free money again. I hate to say this because I still believe that Porzingis has the talent and skill to be an all-star player, but health issues derailed his career, and I will not be surprised if after this contract, he will just consider retiring, but it all depends on his performance of course.

It really depends on what the reason is, because right now they only said that he will be out indefinitely. Since the season is already near, of course it sounds worrying. When we hear "indefinitely" we might think he could be out for a long time or even the season, but they did not really say how many games he will miss. Maybe it could just be one month and he can still come back soon. Better not judge it yet until we get the exact information about what really happened and what his health issue is.

The thing with Jokic is so far he only played with just one team, so just like Curry, they are going to value him as he did bring a ring to them. Unless the Nuggets parted ways with him in the next two years. And then him going to a team that might offer him less money. For Edward's case, he might have to be hitting his prime years and so there is a big chance for him to really reach that $1 million per game contract.

Based on his stats, he is already playing at an MVP level, so I don't think the team will easily let him go. Most likely they will try to give him a max contract because he is their best player. The only thing that could really affect his value is injury, but of course that's something nobody wants to happen. And then him going to a team that might offer him less money. For Edward's case, he might have to be hitting his prime years and so there is a big chance for him to really reach that $1 million per game contract.
There's actually a player already that is paid more than $1 million per game. That is Ben Simmons, in 2023-20254 his salary is about $37.9 million and only played 15 games. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/simmobe01.htmlSo per computation, he is paid $2.5 million per game.

They will surely secure Jokic and he also stated that he will resign with the nuggets, the management has also need to make him happy because he also don't want to lose, big moves of the nuggets should be needed to make him happy, the next contract that he will be signing is big amount, and for sure he does not only want the salary but he wants another ring, the team and the management should know this, they are always 1st or second in the west and just a little push will make their west finals again and even a ring, although this coming years will be very hard for them.

For me with Jokic, I don't think its only about the contract anymore. I mean, lets be honest, Jokic is one of the best players in the league maybe the best big man right now. If Denver will not give him the max there will be other teams willing to do it as long as they have the cap space because they know having Jokic can immediately make their team better. The last time I remember there were rumors about Jokic leaving was when their coach was removed, the same coach who helped them win a championship. So, other than that I don't really remember any serious rumor about him wanting to leave.

The last time I remember there were rumors about Jokic leaving was when their coach was removed, the same coach who helped them win a championship. So, other than that I don't really remember any serious rumor about him wanting to leave. He will not leave, and there are some assurance to that. First is the commitment to the team. Second is his loyalty. Third is, maybe he just loves to play with Denver. Jokic deserves the max 100%. The only problem with the Nuggets right now is that, they had given many bad contracts at once that it pushed them over the 2nd apron which we know has lots of consequences including draft picks, luxury tax and many more. I'll enumerate the bad contracts that they gave over time. - Jamal Murray's contract. Yes, I put him at first because for me, he doesn't deserve it. He's an all-star yes, but with how he played in the last seasons, there are times where Jokic needed him to step up, but failed to do so. He doesn't deserve that $50M per year salary. - Zeke Nnaji's contract. Many will agree to me with this one. He's being paid $7M more or less per year where in reality, he only played 12 MPG last season, and only averaged 3.7 PPG. His current salary doesn't match his overall performance and contribution to the team. - Christian Braun's contract. This is simply because the expectation of the team is just too high that they gave him a huge contract only to find out that he's not a $20M per year type of player. They overpaid him basically. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me or whoever wants to, but these 3 contracts made the Nuggets a worse team than who they are years ago.

The NBA has stated they will be paying close attention and calling more offensive fouls for pushing off this year. Basically, OKC is going to fall off and SGA is going to see a drop in numbers like never before if this turns out to be true. Thank god. The NBA is starting to turn into a league of foul baiting. Still can’t believe SGA got an MVP.

The legal franchise for the Las Vegas as rumored said to be around $12B to $13B for it to be approved. By next season, we might see that addition to the league. That is interesting as we get more teams and more players will be in need for their service. The NBA has already got those personalities who are likely to get the franchise for the newest additional team including the family of Walmart.

If this really happens what will be the final number of teams in the NBA? 31? Will the owners buy an existing team and move it to Las Vegas or will the NBA create completely new expansion team? If it’s an expansion team, how will they decide which players can join the new team and will the NBA need to change the current schedule or number of games? I’m also curious whether adding another team could affect the balance between the Eastern and Western Conferences.

They’re also talking about adding a team in Seattle. It won’t change the number of games played by the teams. I was around before the Toronto Raptors were added… They’ll rearrange the schedule and keep the 82 games and they’ll have an expansion draft where teams can only protect so many of their players.

Otherwise, SGA will really play tough and not look for that call and flop. I guess it's time for the NBA to adjust as they have heard a lot of flack on SGA and his flopping. As for the expansion team, I guess it's time for the NBA to have a new team in the league. They will be more competitive and of course, another chance for some players to join and maybe still have that one ticket to play again. For Jokic, yes, I do believed that he will still remain a Nugget until he retires.

Its good to know that they will make an adjustment. just like Harden before, in a season he was one of the players who gets fouled the most if not the number 1. And its understandable as people are not really loving what SGA has been showing, he is good at fishing fouls, you touch his hair you are fouled its not the game we want to see, NBA is supposed to be physical. NBA is already competitive, but i like that this will generate opportunity for players that are not signed. For Jokic, yes, I do believed that he will still remain a Nugget until he retires.
Hope so.
