LaMelo Ball played only 16 minutes tonight and had a +/- of +33. That is ridiculous. The Timberwolves might have themselves something special here. Still undefeated and rolling over teams. I like this combo. I think they might be one or two pieces away from having themselves one hell of a team.

15 points with a good field goal percentage and another 8 assists in such a short time on the court is truly impressive.
It's worth noting that Ball certainly has a lot of potential, and he would be a huge asset to the Wolves in the playoffs, but his only downside is that he's too prone to various injuries.

But last year was a different LaMelo that is at least very healthy and we all know that it's fun to see the Hornets with him as their point guard and with a lot of athletic players around. So maybe now with the Wolves, he is going to be minute restricted to prevent such injuries specially on what we witnessed on Williams.

And with ANT, this two is electric and going to be problem with other teams. ANT if I'm not mistaken this early is averaging 30 ppg already. So it means that he is really comfortable with Ball right now.

Those 8 assists makes his efficiency went up that's why despite of him scoring 15 points only, the fact that he did that in just 17 minutes is the reason why he got a high plus-minus.

I don't know about others, but I will rank the Ball-Edwards backcourt duo at the same level as with Reaves and Doncic. I don't see them as a better than the Lakers backcourt, but the duo of Ball of Edwards is what made the Wolves a bit scary going through the regular season. As long as Ball will remain healthy for the majority of the season, I will not be surprised if they'll end the season at the 3rd seed or even at the 2nd seed, and don't be surprised if they will defeat either the Thunder or the Spurs in the playoffs. Kind of a bit early to predict, but with how they're playing right now, that's their ceiling that I'm looking.

I have low expectations with this team coming into the regular season, but looking at the first 3 games, I would say that they're a team to lookout in the West. Tomorrow they'll be up against the Cavaliers. Will they sustain their undefeated record or it will be destroyed by the Cavs.

Cavaliers are the favorites to win because it's their home court and the Wolves are on a back-to-back game so fatigue could affect them and there's a chance that they might sit some players.

In a game without Embiid, Philadelphia fell to Detroit 93-106 on their home court. This suggests that Philadelphia will face significant struggles whenever Embiid is sidelined.
Meanwhile, New York continues to rack up losses; this time, they were defeated 102-111 at home by Orlando.
Although Orlando also had a poor start to the season, they secured their first win against New York.
With Haliburton in the lineup, Indiana is set to perform much better this year. Last season was a nightmare for the team due to his absence, but I believe they will reach the playoffs this time around.

Not sure how this will affect the Thunder as a unit. He's gonna miss a lot of games. The season has just started and it immediately ended for him.

This reminds me of a Paul George and Kevin Ware injury.

That was a horrific injury. Almost as bad as the Paul George injury in the Olympics. The good news is that these horrific bone injuries tend to heal up as good as new over time. That makes this probably a better injury to have than a torn ACL or achilles. Still, terrible luck and a lot of pain… You hate to see it.

I saw this same pictures on the internet, I was very devastated for him just as the player himself is devastated with this injury, it’s a huge blow for the Thunders and this absolutely looks like a very bad and horrible injury, it looks like a broken leg, he would definitely be out on the sidelines for quite a period of time, my sympathy is with him, he would definitely need all the supports he can can get from family and friends now, he should be needing surgery then he would have to go for rehabilitation, I wouldn’t be surprised that his season is already over before the season started properly.

Wolves have an elite starter. What they needed now were deep bench players to make their offense still effective while their starters were resting.

They haven’t encounter yet a solid team aside from struggling Heat team that will exposed this team weakness in the late game once they fought team like OKC, Knicks or Spurs.

They need someone like naz who they traded, they need now to replace that role because before if the starters gets out, he is the one putting points before, having undefeated is not safe in the nba, like what you said not facing a top team at the moment, they will be tested in the coming games and also in the playoffs if they are able to advance, the west are stack right now, so they needed to have a win which make the lead on a certain position in the playoffs, right now they are just being tested, the real test is in the playoffs.

Nah, they traded him because they don't need value on Naz, they thought that they needed to have a true point guard that's why they sacrifice Naz ay they have McDaniels already that played the same as Naz.

And for now it looks like they have made that good decision with LaMelo. Although it's too early to say, but if they continue to win games, then they have another great chance in the playoff for this season with first year guard LaMelo Ball with them.

This is very unfortunate even though i dont like the thunder, but i dont want to see a player suffer an injury yes he got salary but having an injury is not easy physically and emotionally, as i have also suffer an arm injury, its not easy, hope he will recover and go back to the game next year but this kind of injury does not have an easy recovery, get well soon.

JDub. OMG! I just watched his career highlights 2 days ago, and now this.

Some doctors are already giving their analysis of the possible injuries, and most of them are saying that it could be an ankle fracture, an ankle dislocation, or both, which I think is the worst-case scenario.
It will be bad for the Thunders. They need him. I know the Thunder have depth in their roster, and they will help SGA. Still, JDub is a force, and his offensive power is consistent.

No Cason Wallace, no JDub, and Jaylin might go on and off. They need their 2nd stringers to patch the holes.

Yeah, it's all over the social media with that injury of Jaylen Williams. When we thought that he had recovered from his first season career injury comes this horrifying one. There are a lot of comparisons to other player but we can only hope that he can still make a comeback.

The OKC now will have to work very hard as they don't have their 2nd option. Someone will have to step up and this could be a blessing from someone in the team to replace Williams in the starting lineup and help SGA. Sometimes you just have to look positive at this kind of things and move forward.

The last championship he's also injured and I think that if OKC didn't win that he's done for on this season. I guess that he's already done with his career, if he won't recover quickly, the team would likely think that he's a replaceable one. But the good thing is that he's got that contract that he's signed for as extension for his 5-year max contract. It will be a nice paycheck while not playing while he's still in recovery period.

Clippers won their game against Thunders last Sunday but that victory was over shadowed by injury of their star player Jalen Williams who was taken off the floor on a stretcher after suffering a leg injury. Due to this gruesome injury, I don't think Williams will be available very soon to play for Clippers. Williams was able to play just 33 games for Clippers last season due to hamstring and wrist injuries, in new season once again its a big blow for Clippers that they to play without Williams.

Nothing too exciting on the schedule today.  The Timberwolves play again and against the Cavs, so some people might enjoy that one.  The only games I have available at home tonight are the Rockets vs Hawks (KD might be worth checking in on) and the Warriors vs Nuggets on Peacock.  I think I'm already going to cancel that Peacock subscription after the first month.  Seems like they mostly just cover the Hawks...  Best games of the week for me will be Friday on Amazon Prime with the 76ers/Knicks and Lakers/Warriors.

Don't you also think Luka's performance is amazing? He scored 52 points and also made 10 assists. He manages to be this effective even though he handled the ball almost the entire time. And he only had 4 turnovers. He put on a legendary performance against the Jazz. If I remember right, he's the fastest player in Lakers history to reach 3000 points.

I don't think Lakers have a very strong roster, but they've started the season well with Luka and a few driven players. I find it hard to see them keeping this up all season. If anything happens to Luka, Lakers will become a below average team. They heavily rely on Luka and Reaves.

I've been meaning to ask, why do you have multiple subscriptions to watch NBA matches though ? I mean here in my country the local cable doesn't offer more than occasional NBA games on ESPN 1 and ESPN 2, but the NBA league pass (premium) which cost around $40 in my local currency covers me for the entire season regular and playoffs.

That said, I can't tune in early so I won't be watching the Cavs - Wolves, but I still like watching the Denver Nuggets and I should be able to catch one, I also have my money on the Nuggets against the Warriors that are now 0-3 to start the season.

As crazy as it looked, he really did get lucky here. I think he’ll have a full recovery and be good to go for next season. Maybe even some minutes if they get to the playoffs, but he’ll probably be out of shape.

This might depend on the player recovery on how fast things is going, but they might not risk him by getting him back in playing if they really care for him, healing process sometimes rely on the person determination and body recovery, but as I said since the Thunder don't need him right away because they have a lot of players they can put at the moment, with the luxury of that, Jdub can focus on the recovery without thinking anything but that, they play last season missing him, so i don't think its a problem.

Ok, at least there is some semblance of good news there. And I think those who played basketball here during our prime years as somewhat dislocated our ankle, maybe not as worst at that, but we can recover after at few weeks of message and therapy.

And with the advancement of sports science and medicine, hopefully, Williams can recover and not be a season or even a career ending injury for him. OKC needed him obviously to have another round at the championship.

Giannis got a triple double tonight. He also got his 4th loss as a member of the Miami Heat. Not a great start for him there… He has to be the most frustrated person in the NBA right now. Nobody thought they would be this bad.

I bet on them to have the victory with big money and avoided the spread because I speculated that they might have some difficulty to beat this against the Golden State Warrior! I was correct on the Nuggets difficulty on beating the spread, however, it appears that I am also very much mistaken for speculating for them to win hehehehehe.

In any case, the winner might only have a lead of 2 points or 3 points, I reckon.

I don't think we'll see him in the playoffs. After all, it's a pretty serious injury, and I don't think either he or the Thunder will want to take any unnecessary risks. For comparison, Paul George took more than 8 months to fully recover from an open tibia fracture.
