What happened to Miami Heat? 0-4,...... good start. This team is going down, on paper they look good (at least for me) but look at them now, they are already at the bottom and though Giannis keeps carrying this team, they continue to struggle, this is not the Miami culture we usually see. Does this team even have a chance anymore?

Steph Curry had himself a game tonight. He scored 24 points on 100% shooting. This included 3 3-pointers and 5 free throws. The warriors ended up beating the Nuggets by 20. These are the kind of nights that are possible when you have Steph on your team. A shame this talent is going to be wasted the rest of his career.

The Timberwolves lost a heartbreaker by 2 in overtime against the Cavs. Bad game for LaMelo Ball… Ant had 46.
Giannis got a triple double tonight. He also got his 4th loss as a member of the Miami Heat. Not a great start for him there… He has to be the most frustrated person in the NBA right now. Nobody thought they would be this bad.
I mean I am not surprised Miami is struggling actually, especially when Bam performs the bad at the moment. Main problem is, they have no shooting. 3 point shooting % is a laughable 30% , I just checked and this % ranks them 25th of 30 teams in the NBA, just horrible. Same with field goals, 43.2% so far which puts them in 24th place. Giannis is a great player but also quite 1 dimensional. Giving up Herro and Vasquenz alone was a hard hit on their depth and shooting. Guess they also dreamed about Klay still being the shooter he was in the past.

Looks like all that happened was a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula. They’re saying he might not even be out the entire season… Broken bones are so much better than torn ligaments. As crazy as it looked, he really did get lucky here. I think he’ll have a full recovery and be good to go for next season. Maybe even some minutes if they get to the playoffs, but he’ll probably be out of shape.
I don't think we'll see him in the playoffs. After all, it's a pretty serious injury, and I don't think either he or the Thunder will want to take any unnecessary risks. For comparison, Paul George took more than 8 months to fully recover from an open tibia fracture. I agree, I hope he take the long way of resting, he needs to rest even he feels okay soon. Just to make sure that he will be good for a long time and it will not attack and hurt again. I know it is different injury but I remember D- Rose when he make a comeback and the injury get worse. OKC still a contender even with out him, though he is really good and young.

Worst is he might be traded since OKC is facing a huge luxury tax around 200M$ due to their core player bloating salary and this injury makes the decision making for OKC easier on who will be traded. I just read this luxury tax issue on OKC few days ago on social media and some speculate it will be JDub if he was injured, which sadly happened. Hoping for his speedy recovery.

I checked the current NBA standings, and surprisingly the Memphis Grizzlies are 4-0.. Do you guys think they can make the playoffs this season?
They don't really have any established All-Star players on the roster anymore, especially after trading away players like Jaren Jackson Jr and Morant. Their team is now relying more on young guns like Boozer and Edey. Edey hasn't been contributing as much as you might expect, and it's actually been a team effort so far. Six players scored 12+ points in their recent game, which shows how everyone is stepping up and contributing offensively.
That said, it's still too early to get excited because Memphis hasn't really faced any particularly strong opponents yet. Their 4-0 start is impressive, but we'll have to wait and see how they perform against tougher teams before judging their playoff chances.

We will know if they really have what it takes when there are like 30-40 games and they have won 20+ games but if ever they made it through the playoffs the experience will defeat them because the west are so loaded that if they make it to the second round for sure they have to defeat the second best team in the league or in the west. But there is only 50/50 chance for them to make it in the playoffs because they don't have veteran players or at least a superstar, to lead them in the run.

He had a triple double last night, won a chip win Milwaukee in 2021, was MVP of that finals, and named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. He's also averaging 28.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, and 5.0 apg this season.

I can't think of any player that has the same feeling as he is right now. TBH, I at least gave this team a slightly higher expectation because the problem that they once had which is outside shooting got filled with their newly acquired players, but with how they started this regular season? I guess that "expectation" of mine just disappeared, and I will predict it very early, but I see them as a lottery team at best. Kind of harsh, but if they really are a playoff-team, they will not start the regular season with 4 straight losses, and what's worse is that they lose to the Mavericks which is considered a lottery team right now. I expected already that they will be a bad team, but not this bad as how they started. Of course, it's still early through the regular season, but you can't prevent the NBA fans, and of course those Heat fans to be disappointed with the team.

To early to tell, but the young guys is so promising. I didn't think that they would get a excellent start this season. But also look at this teams they defeated https://www.foxsports.com/nba/memphis-grizzlies-team-game-log these teams are struggling and we didn't see them having a good match up with title contender teams. If it happens they score a win on top teams, maybe we can easily conclude that Memphis would probably gonna make it in playoffs.

With how the team is performing, I don't think we will see a 2022 Warriors again. They are inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get amazed by their performance. Sometimes their performance is meh even if they are against a weaker opponent. But yeah, even though Curry is past his prime and old, he is still one of the best players in the league and one of the players you can't leave wide open until now. We can just cherish him while he is still in the league but can't hope for more. Next up, they are against Wolves and Lakers in their next 2 games. Another two strong teams.

Looking at today's schedule it looks like there are 2 games I could watch. The first being the Detroit Pistons vs the New York Knicks (who have been underperforming pretty badly so far). I doubt I'll watch that one, but the later game is a little more interesting for me. The Los Angeles Lakers vs the Portland Trail Blazers. I haven't gotten a chance to see Luka play yet this year, so I may try and catch that one or at least some of it. Finally Peacock is airing a game that doesn't have the Atlanta Hawks in it...

Yes, not only the playoffs but they can achieve something solid this year. I am expecting at least conference finals or even winning the conference finals. With the return of Steve Adams, they will be even better and They can be quite powerful. It looks as though last year’s problems have eased. Even KD is talking about team play and praising Alperen Şengün. Winning the title will be tough, but they could achieve great success.

Anthony Edwards out two months with a knee surgery. Back to back hits for the Timberwolves after taking their first loss of the LaMelo era.
I read that Mugsy Bogues is getting his # retired. Strangely, the Hornets he played for ended up becoming the New Orleans Pelicans and then a new franchise the Bobcats took their place, later to be named the Hornets. The NBA considers the current Hornets as the team he played for, even though it is a completely different franchise that took over the city and then the name when the real Hornets abandoned them.

What the hell is going on with the NBA early this season? We have seen a lot of injuries already, Anthony Edwards (knee surgery) Kawhi Leonard (knee swelling) Jalen Williams (fractured fibula) Ben Simmons (torn achilles) Paolo Banchero (ankle sprain) Jaren Jackson Jr. (torn MCL) Kristaps Porzingis (illness) Cason Wallace (shoulder) Jalen Suggs (knee contusion) Jalen Duren (hamstring)
https://www.facebook.com/basketballforever/posts/were-only-a-week-into-the-season-and-weve-seen-so-many-players-fall-to-injury-an/1590156989822215/But this could favor teams that will remain healthy by extreme luck and then go on to play that grueling 82 games, and be in the playoff. Although it's good to see some players that have recovered from last year like Kyrie and Hali and playing like they haven't had that season ending injuries and have to recover for a year.

So strange how quick this news came. Yesterday he had 47 points and played 41 minutes, just missing the game tying 3 in OT, and now he is out for 2 months despite (in my opinion) looking totally fine the day before. Injury wise the league is crazy at them moment, I wonder what's behind all this. Is it the low top shoes everybody is wearing these days? Or the more athletic play? I mean it's much less physical these days, that's for sure.

--- Injury wise the league is crazy at them moment, I wonder what's behind all this. Is it the low top shoes everybody is wearing these days? Or the more athletic play? I mean it's much less physical these days, that's for sure. It's the pace of the game that made then more injured. If you will look at the majority of the injuries right now, it's below the waist or at least at the knee or leg. That's because the league now focuses more on offense where teams are running almost non-stop, leaving them with less time to recover themselves. Speaking of recover themselves, the condensed schedule as well makes them more injury-prone. How? They travel all the time and that leaves them little to no practice or at they only have little time to condition themselves before the game. Shoes and footwear in general could be another factor as well, but as somebody who watched NBA games that often, I'm leaning towards the faster pace of the game that made them more injury-prone. As for Edwards' injury, I looked at the internet on whether it's the same knee that he got injured during their match-up with the Spurs last playoffs, and it's not. This could mean more problem to him because both knees already got injured. Him missing 2 months is a big problem to the team but they still have LaMelo anyway so... they're still safe at least... or are they?

It's a big problem but I think the role Edwards got can be filled by either TSJ or Dosunmu so not gonna be that awful and besides I think the way they play right now was because of what Lamelo brings to the table too. Well, he probably be the main man now within that 2 months without an Antman so let's see if he can fulfill it but I think this team is still making the playoffs. It's just so awful seeing a great season having some huge names already on the injury lists, much more a lot of them are starters.
