We are in a real bind, we have to renew our domain name today or risk losing it we have very little in our Paypal account, I just found out our registrar accepts bitcoin, but we only have 15 cents in our bit wallet, how sad is that! Any way is there anyway to earn or borrow $15.95 in bitcoins in the next 8 hours to pay to renewal our domain? I know there are faucets but will I be able to earn enough and have that in my bit wallet by the end of the day?

Thanks in advance.

Update, domain has been renewed, an online friend of hers paypaled her the fee and asked her to pay it forward which we do when we can, makes you wonder what kind of world it would be if everyone did that.

No one will lend bitcoins to a newbie unless you have collateral. But I am assuming you have nothing.

the only way anyone would believe you is to post the domain name. and have a page within the domain that explains who you are and that you want $16 in bitcoin..

then people can WHOIS search the domain and see the expiry..
if you dont bother doing this 3 minute task to prove anything you say.. then im guessing your an 'oliver twist' begging for more porridge

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

What is considered collateral for $15? I mean it's not like we are asking for a bank loan, I have heard that Bi Polar Bob has loaned to others, but what about faucets, not gonna happen in one day?

People scam here for a dollar usd. Sad, but true. Now, do you have anything worth 15 usd for collateral? Alt coins, digital goods/accounts, anything?

Well at present we have items for sale on etsy and ebay, some worth more than, but we haven't sold anything in a while, we also have my wife's cookbook for sale on her blog. The other thing would be the domain itself, which we still own till midnight tonight, but I"m pretty sure it's worth a lot more than $15, and my wife will not be willing to lose that. Jeez it's like having to hock something at a pawn shop, which we never have had to do yet. It's truly sad how mistrusting this world has become, time for a major global reset. Oh and here is our domain name, I was reluctant to post since I didn't think the rules would allow www.notperfume.com It's her baby and she doesn't want to risk losing it. I suppose we can create a page on there today to explain the circumstances, should only take a few minutes, thanks for the suggestion.

You can blame the scammers that have practically molested the forum for making us (as a whole) mistrusting of everyone.

If you don't trust a loaner (like me) with the domain name + website, then you can use a trustworthy escrow around here to hold it. Also, how are you planning on repaying the loan? Ad revenue? Paycheck coming in?

FYI Scammers don't ask how they can earn something, they just try to get something for free, how sad this world has gotten that no one trusts no one anymore, it's time for a major global reset, as you will soon see we are for real and there are people in this world who have legitimate struggles and not out scam anyone, how truly sad. As soon I can stop responding to these messages I am going to post our dilemma to the main page of the web site to legitimize our claim as was suggest and you will see we are real.

Ok the claim is on the first page of http://www.notperfume.com right before the welcome message, you should see the bitcoin wallet ID there as well, should you wish to make a deposit. A quick check of the registrar should show the expiration date as today. A reminder to everyone who is responding, newbies can only post every 360 seconds so it's taking time to post back.
Thanks

Look man, I don't know who you are, that's how scams work, unless you provide some actual proof no one with half a brain will trust you. You are not dying so don't play the victim card. I guess we should help the nigerian prince in distress too right?

Perhaps you are a wonderful person and all but so far you failed to provide anything that's been asked (which is actually quicker than writing more posts and begging for money)

Perhaps someone could loan it to you if you transferred the domain to them, as well as the site content code. They'd renew it for you, and then hold the website until you repaid $15 + interest to them. Giving them your Twitter account wouldn't hurt, either.

As for dying, who asks for $15 if they are dying try more like $15k lol

That's what you'd think, but people have scammed for literally pennies around here.

I didn't read it sorry, I was writing. Ok I'm not entirely positive so I'll sit this one out. Bitcoin revo has a good idea if you accept that and plenty will happily renew the domain for you.

Yeah, it's probably the best idea for now. I would see about loaning you if you would tell me how you plan to repay the loan.

Also, how are you planning on repaying the loan? Ad revenue? Paycheck coming in?

EDIT: Never mind.

The only problem with this loan would be that if you potentially defaulted on the loan, I'd be stuck with a perfume website and Twitter account. Those aren't really too high-demand to sell. Smiley

I messaged you the answer, I think I also posted it here, as for transferring the domain, let me get this straight, I'm totally mistrusted because I'm a newbie but I'm supposed to transfer a domain to someone I never met, I'm sorry guys but trust is a two way street, besides my wife would never go for that, I think she's just going to have to hit up some of her followers and see if she can get it that way, I really think I came to the wrong place for advice. I mean a person asks a question and all you can do is focus on the loan part and call them a scammer, and yet no one has answered my question, yep there must be some other place I should have checked first, oh well, live and learn. I won't be replying any further as I have put off some other things I have to get done including listing more items on ebay.
Thanks

You are the one that doesn't understand that scams in Bitcoin happen EVERYDAY. Plus, you are a newbie and you don't seem to accept the demands that many members asked you. All you did is send a link to a site, ask for $15 and refuse to play by the "rules", remember you are the the one asking.

Every member here has the right to have doubts, you need to understand that.

You're right at the part that you are not asking for a bank loan, but bitcoin is still money and both BANKS and US don't want to lose our money to scammers Wink
Either you have collateral or you won't get nothing, we are not stupid Smiley

If the OP can't raise $15 between his extended family and his wife's extended family, not to mention all their friends, they really have no business running a website.

What's going to happen if one of them breaks a shoelace and has to buy a new one?  Will shipments be delayed?
