I have considered telling my family and some of my friends about Bitcoin but whenever I've tried, they fail to understand why it does have value and why it is extremely important specially in the current socioeconomic context.. they don't get it and see it as something really strange. Needless to say I wouldn't tell them to put any money on it. In a way it feels like im keeping something amazing to myself, but at the same time, I don't want to put people into the pressure of holding through rallies long term because most people aren't cut for that.
How to introduce Bitcoin to absolutely clueless people and is there even a point? Should we just let time pass and wait for them to naturally learn about it once it goes more mainstream?
Lol I have thought about this many times. People literally think you're talking about something illegal, or some ponzi scheme. They don't understand that it is legit. When you show people how much money could have been made on some of these swings, they just refuse to believe there isn't really a catch.

I've gotten alot of my friends into bitcoin by telling them mining is profitable. (Yes, I'm evil.) My friend bought 2 antminer s7s just a few days ago. Let's see if he can mine a block by the upcoming halving xD But to my close relatives, yes, its a waste of time. They look down on me for working on such a "fluctuating" currency. The fluctuation is what makes it fun

I would say definitly no! Because Bitcoin is a new kind of technologie and its not descoverd by everyone. I think a lot of people are interested in this fast kind of paymend method and also because its decentrilized. Iam also teeling my friends and family about it and they also feel it because iam buying good stuff from several merchanideses via btc.
I buy my btc at anycoindirect.eu - its an netherlands service with is really legit and pays u uppon the actuall course.

He seemed pretty interested That's great, we want that all generations should participate in the journey to make bitcoins more popular, as if the older generation starts using bitcoins they can easily convince others to get into bitcoins, as people have more faith in older generation as compared to the younger generation as they believe that they have more experience then we does.

Just as I've ever experienced ...
Every time I try to introduce Bitcoin, they immediately frowning brow and said, Bitcoin ?! What is that? And I was trying to explain it to them. But it needs great effort and continuing to introduce Bitcoin either in meaning or usefulness.
Is not easy to explain Bitcoin to ordinary people, especially not so familiar with the internet and technology.

Just tell them that in Bitcoin there are not fat-asses emitting money however they want thus inflating existing supply of money. That's the reason why all world economy is failed and why we're still in the middle ages. Absolutely most important question on planet Earth right now is who and how emits money. Implications of this answer are deep as they can be.

Don't give up , even if they laugh at you nowadays they will believe soon that you are right so be tolerant with them and try to understand their situations , because good parts of people don't even understand how it works the Bitcoin currency till now

Try to use bitcoin by buying some useful thing and then prove to them that what power does bitcoin has, i think that it is not a waste of time but don't go deeper explaining something as it will become at the end boring.

If you really love Bitcoin it is not a waste of time. If you just use Bitcoin like how I use ... (sorry) it is a waste of time. Whether they use or not will not affect me much. I am more affected by the rates which is affected by many others in the world.
