i buy bitcoins as an investment,i believe the prices will explode in the future years and i wanna be ready for that.  buying bitcoin for investment are bad motive IMHO, just bought bitcoin to used daily and it will help price going up. Why is it a bad motive? Bitcoin is everything you want it to be. You are more willing to use Bitcoin as currency, which is perfectly fine. He wants to use Bitcoin as investment. Nothing wrong with that, right? |

I don't think buying bitcoins for investment purpose is bad idea. Yes I do agree if one buy and just store these coins then it won't help on price movements but some people consider it as a just an investment product and they may not use it buy any services. It is also good if some people just hold some coins otherwise prices will never stabilize. |

It is a good investment, especially thinking long term because this moment it is easy to get BTCs at a good price and most people are convinced that its price will increase significantly next years. I am still working for dollars because they are easier to gain, and sometimes I exchange some dollars for BTC as long term savings. Did you know in 2011 many people confidence in 2015 the price of bitcoin will reached 10,000 USD and now what? Struggle in $300 . This talking was exist before. And bitcoin must be used . Not just hold them as investment! Holding bitcoins is actually one of the ways to increase the price, and even tho it won't increase popularity that way, i still think it's still a positive thing to do. Regarding the price in '11, and current situation on the market; even tho prices are ~300 usd, there's no doubt how that will change in time, especially when mining reward goes down by half next year. I'm confident price will surpass 1k within 2 years. |

I am sure that as I buy the bitcoins now, the price may increase and thus will be able to get some profit when I do the reselling. I do believe that the bitcoins in future will be an acceptable digital currency all over the world and with that, it will command a very large demand. I am a speculative trader when it comes to bitcoin.

Yes, instead of mining set up and running costs, it would be better buying bitcoin. Without paying electricity bill monthly, we may opt for buying bitcoin monthly basis, it must be a clever idea. |

Yeah buying bitcoins for an investment purpose is a good thing, as we know that bitcoins can bring revolution in the future, as more and more people starts using bitcoins it would reach to a new level in the coming years, and we wish that prices goes high and remain stable for a long time so we can gain some profit out of it. |

There are many more people that just have to buy coins and that's their only option. Not that this is bad, as I think Bitcoin is a great investment even if you put your cash in. It's much better to buy coins directly than to invest into some shady and risky investments! |

- trader,they buy it for bitcoin price up.
- investor,they buy it for invest,and finally sell it to other corporate/exchange.

I also do not quite understand the other person why they must buy bitcoin if it easily available but if I buy bitcoin it because I have run out of stock trading bitcoin to play, so I bought a bitcoin to add the stock, so I went back to play trading again  |

Well the first reason of buying bitcoin is to make profit depends on the current market moves. Not for holding purposes but to play in the market. Most of the buyers rotates the coins and not just staying it sleep in their storages. |
