It's gambling... you should go in EXPECTING to lose it all. Even if you win one time, you will most likely lose it next time.
If you go in with that mindset, then you won't be upset when you eventually get what you expected - to lose.

But then who would want to gamble knowing this? Your saying just be ready for the fall because you know the ground will kill you. A lot of people like to take their chances. That's not wrong.

you can lose everything you have there is just no limits, i laugh hard at this stories people who goes in hard thinking they will win they are doomed from start. and once you click roll,raise,call,all-in,or something like that you need to be ready to lose that bet. if you dont then go buy a gun and kill yourself. regards. -Katerniko1

Why should someone bothering how much can they lose? Gambling is for fun and winning only. If you lose you can try it next time so it will not be burden unless you are trying to recover, it is different thing to say. So I can say it depends on people how much they set their fund to gamble, without set a balance you will lose all of your balance, this apply for everyone not only poor but rich people too

Title of this thread should rather be renamed to: "How much you can afford to lose with gambling". Because I pretty much think that some idiots can lose it all. If you are addicted there is not really limit for you, and you will play with all your funds until you satisfy your gambling needs.

losing your wife and children for the sake of gambling doesn't makes any sense. i wouldn't gamble again if i lose 60% of my wealth. So yeah ,i can lose that much with gambling.

In gambling you can lose all money you have, so its better to have a limitation on how much you can afford to lose that will not affect your life significantly. Lets say put x% of your monthly salary for gambling, and if you lose dont try to put more to recover it.
