Find another hobby or work more often to keep you occupied.
Yeah i'm agree with this, find hobby like gaming on pc it's good for killing time. so you don't remember your gambling. and also find some friends go hang out together and find some work that earn you real money. not waste your money on gambling. |

hi i am getting addicted to gambling.And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much. Anyway, if you mean you are on bitcoin betting sites (I suppose it since it's posted here) then convert your btc to fiat money as soon as possible you get them so you won't have something to use on gambling. |

Golf Golf and more Golf has helped me. I have an addictive personality by
nature so for me I need to stay busy doing other things. Also things that
can get my adrenaline going help feed that need for excitement. For me its
video games as I'm not a sky diver or anything crazy. Stay away from the
booze and stay busy helped me from constantly wanting to check football
spreads lol.

Ughhh golf classy sports activity, i dont think it affordable for everyone to do it. But video games was 100% help to forget everything no exception for gambling and its affordable. So lets play video games to forget your loses! |

you can't completely stay away in gambling easily specially when you used to do it oftenly. i suggest you should only gamble moderately and slowly stay away from it. also find another hobby you can play with, either playing MOBA games or play a sport or whatever that you will find fun except gambling.

If you are gona be so addicted about gambling I suggest you to seek some help from somebody. Or I don't know if you have a girlfriend say to her that she need to be strict to you about gamble, so that you can't play.

Yes I agree. I sometimes get the feeling of not wanting to stop but I try to step back from it and try to keep myself occupied with something else for the next couple of days after that. I'll do anything to keep myself busy with other stuff so I don't get the urge to start losing more money by gambling. |

Me I play League of Legends lets say I am kinda addicted to it so when I lose I play more and more and I lose my rank is just stupid atleast I am not losing my money  is like gambling actually just with out money. |

When I was addicted to smoking I just told to my friends to keep me watching what I am doing. That I don't smoke. So that helps.
Just ask for someone to help you.

Gamble is addiction. To stay away from gambling is depend on individual how they gonna stop it. Maybe is by change hobby maybe other like spend the money for beer and girls Like My friend ask his wife to keep his money to prevent him gamble too much. |

IMO the best to avoid gambling is find another hobby that is less harmful, like playing soccer for some hours ( if you are student ) or like reading newspaper more often than not or such ( if you are adult ) .. such ideas seems funny, but trust me they work when it comes to quit gambling.

So in order to get rid of one addiction he needs to get addicted to something else? Thats so like US government when they started giving meth to heroin addicts.To cure ones addiction they need to stop it completely by either focussing in other temporary activities or self help like gym.Simply getting addicted to something else just wont help.
