There are a lots of things to do in order to encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin. On my opinion, giving them a proposal business that make them to convince. Expalin to them very well, the best knowledge I have and discuss the history and the advantages about bitcoin. So I believe your idea still wouldn't work. What we need to do is a physical approach, a form of meeting, and tell them all the advantages bitcoin can bring and also include the disadvantages, because they will ask for it too for sure.
