I dont think theyre facing a downtrend, paypal is mainstream, people use it, because they dont know alternatives exist...

That is why we need to tell the world about this. Well for the old one they don't like really the new thinks.
But for the teenagers (new generations) maybe they will use bitcoin so that is a good idea to tell them about it.
I believe when they know about bitcoin they will just do bitcoin as work when they are studying.

i use only bitcoins for online shopping

In life, you need to have some variety. Bitcoin is not well known, thus, not many online stores accept it. I use PayPal at the moment, I am waiting for more stores to accept bitcoin.

Paypal is the most famous payment method in shopping online as all big sites like Amazon, eBay are accepting it.
But PayPal has some restrictions on my country so I can not use it. If more sites start to accept bitcoin, it will pass PayPal in this field

PayPal is currently the online leader for online shopping though Bitcoin holds the potential for traders, buyers, sellers/merchants a lot greater power that is currently unrecognized. Soon, PayPal will be a dinosaur when the world opens its arms to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's better than Paypal because it's safest payment method with useful features needed by buyers and sellers worldwide
With Paypal's chargeback and reversibility and locking accounts without real reasons often i think using Bitcoin is a lot better

Paypal is more safe to be used as a means of online payments but in my country we can't use paypal if we are to send money to a resident of my country whereas we can use BTC for that. Also, bitcoin can be used for investment purpose and one can earn money by selling them on profit.

It's paypal when I want to shop online on a none trusted site i can file a dispute anytime but when it comes to paying to a good online shop or paying a lend to a friend I will choose bitcoin both have their advantage and disadvantage i still don't want paypal to go down they could still co-exist to benefit us all ..

I hope as well they can support each other, paypal offering the exchange of bitcoin, they wont loose as they take their comission and their fees and bitcoin holders would have a fast way to take out virtual money into bank, but the fact the most being limited to a xxx ammount sure can kill paypal.

I see that most people are scammed in paypal deals but also in bitcoin but less. I consider bitcoin better than paypal in some cases and paypal better in some other cases(for fast deal and buyer protection)

paypal is good with refund system for buyer protection, but this system is bad for seller
sometimes buyer receive his digital good and try to refund his paypal transaction

But if you have proof that you have sold something and it has been delivered to the buyer they can not refund you.
That's not 100% sure, but most likely. I had a situation when I have bought a cheap but very good looking phone on ebay with decent specs. Next day the feedback started to show up that the seller is a scammer. The seller has not sent anything after the payment, so I have opened a dispute in Paypal. After the dispute, the seller have provided a tracking nr. which was legit. Dispute has been waiting for the tracking nr. to show if it will be delivered to me or not. A bit later the post delivered me a small envelope, I have signed that I have received it. The seller has sent me an empty(!) envelope just because of the tracking nr. to Paypal. That moment I thought that I have lost my money, my luck was that if I order something above $10 I always do a package opening video. With this and with a lot of phone calls to paypal and much more email conversations, I have managed to get my money back, despite of the proof of delivery, but it was a long fight and a lot of hassle...
Really bad to hear these experiences, but there could be many professional scammers which know what they do and how they do, but paypal is very strict to refunds and buyer protection, but good that you got your money back at the end.

I would have to pick Paypal over bitcoin for now. Because paying with bitcoin is not everywhere available as payment.
Unless you exchange and pay with that money, you will be paying indirectly with bitcoin money.

Yeah, paypal is history dude, use bitcoins, as bitcoins holds multiple advantages over bitcoins and it is the safest and cheapest way to transfer money online as the credits are instant and there are no hidden charges which paypal charges on their customers, Paypal is a cheater who impose heavy charges on their customers and also takes a time to credit money to the bank accounts.

I think there are pro's and con's for bitcoin and paypal.
To me what matters the most are the fees and in that perspect, Bitcoin is the clear and undisputed winner

Paypal has more supporters, merchants etc. Sure they have a big time advantage being more 'adult' then bitcoin.
So it's not a fair comparison, making this one is not hard.
Bitcoin having more potential
Paypal having more usability.

I really believe they can get the full market together, being partners they would do the conversion rates to trade bitcoins soo they would keep with their costumers and fees, but sure they would need to change the fees otherwise we would see this partnership ending very fast,as one purpose of bitcoin is low fees ,paypal charges a lot almost the same as western union.
