That's what I think. No matter how many buyers buy extra Bitcoins to spend on Black Friday, the shops will most likely sell those Bitcoins almost immediately which will result in a stable price. The exchanges will get increased volume, but that won't increase or decrease the price, which hasn't changed much in the last week.

The main difference right now is the block halving. We didn't had any one thinking about it as it was still far away back then. It will definitely not go sub $200 anymore, unless a flash crash is happening or several large exchanges get hacked and a lose a lot coins as result. We are not out of the woods as of yet. The price has stabilised at around $350, but that does not mean we won't revisit low $300 in what remains of the year.
For now, there are no fundamental reasons, neither bitcoin positive news to fuel the next speculative leg up.

Yeah, Black Friday seems to be catching on in Britain - a few years ago it was usually marked by news reports about "those wacky Americans", now it's a chance to grab bargains on amazon.co.uk etc. I think there may even have been fatalities (or at least injuries...) at a British shopping mall.

The event doesn't necessarily indicate any effect on Bitcoins, as it is just limited to a single country, and BTC is possessed by many users from different countries, mainly from China...
Even if people from USA start selling their BTC just to buy something, that won't affect the price much...
Come on guys, we are in 2016 and we are still talking "dumps"
