There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I'm a bit suspicious. There's no block source, the log has no new lines but it's still using a lot of CPU for whatever reason.

Everything working fine now.

Heh, yeah it seemed like it but it doesn't work and it's doing something in the backgrdound while it shouldn't. Either a bug or something malicious.

Your right, 50% CPU usage on the client with it synced up, it even takes a very long time for the wallet to sync even though the blocks are correct in the information tab.

Yeah, I noticed long load times for the masternode portion.

Virustotal and local scans came back clean, and I checked running processes to see if there was one I didn't recognize, but only in the regular Windows task manager, not a deeper-look 3rd party app.

Let us all know if you discover a rogue process.

ok, The wallet once synced up for the block chain is still communicating with the Masternodes. You will see other messages pop up and tell you what is happening. As more Masternodes come online things will work better.

There is nothing malicious anywhere. the source is available, please feel free to examine it yourself.
