Hello,

coin supply seems to be block at 56 781 166 PIVX until few days now. Somebody can explain why it stop now ? Who take decision for that ? and why did not stop early when pivx began to down ?
Thanks in advance.

Best regards

you should not blame pivx or the team behind it for coinmarketcap issues!!!

there are always lots of other resources you can check as you should know

for example:
http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/index.php

Supply: 57,354,186 and going higher how it should be

I'm not blaming as you said i just try to understand how it works ! Lot of guys like me check just in coinmarket. Thanks for this : http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/index.php. Every day is a learning day.  I think really when the capitalization down the supply should be stop (i already asked that but nobody answer me) i thought it was that but not. I always stay purple but now purple become red it's normal to try to understand ..
Thanks for answered.

ok sorry for the "Blaming" thing. sometimes i just forget how many years i already work with cryptos  Tongue

every "good" project should have a section like this (or similar) on the website where you can find resources
https://pivx.org/resources/

coinmarketcap is often not the best source for up to date information

cheers and keep it purple

I won't blame coinmarketcap, it's pretty hard to keep track with all the coins in circulation at the moment.
But, indeed https://pivx.org/resources/ is a great source of information, thank you for the link.

September is one of the harderst months each year for crypto.
I believe that upwards movements to come sooner or later in the late of third quarter or the fourth quarter this year.
PIVX is one of the game-changing coin, which innovated Xevan algorithm years ago.

Say what now?

(For the non-bots out there: PIVX used the Quark algorithm during its PoW phase, and changed to PoS in August 2016)

Some positive news regarding PIVX and Numo Mobile Money, a Canadian mobile wallet and payment solution:

https://forum.pivx.org/t/mobile-payments-pivx-6000-fiat-to-piv-locations-soon-piv-to-fiat-boom/4480

From the Numo - PIVX alliance proposal:

Quote
The integration of PIV and zPIV into Numo’s mobile wallet platform will allow the PIVX community to make purchases at local merchants using cryptocurrencies, specifically PIV to start.  At the time of activation/implementation, PIVX users will immediately have access to 6000 locations in Canada where they can load fiat onto the platform which they then can convert to PIV. By Spring 2019, this will expand to 18,000 locations in Europe and Australia, and our plan is to expand into the US market as well.  The PIVX community will also be able to convert their PIV to fiat and withdraw those funds from local merchants using the Numo platform.

Numo’s mobile wallet ecosystem is live and operating in Canada currently with thousands of users and dozens of merchants conducting transactions. To date, approx 10,000 payment transactions have been completed - with less than 0.01% of transactions resulting in a customer service query. To date, we know of no transactions that failed to complete within our expected service level (2 seconds maximum transaction time).

What are minimal hardware requirements for setting up a masternode? It the cheapest offer at digitalocean sufficient ( https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/ )?

Also is there going to be separate masternodes for zDEX? What will be the requirements for running zDEX node? Hardware and funds required.

Hi, firstly, make sure you are running the latest wallet. (currently 3.1.1)
https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases

If it doesn't sync, it may be due to number of reasons including corrupted local blockchain files.
You can download a snapshot from our core developer's daily snapshot website to sync up.

Current PIVX blockchain is approx 10.5GB in size and is increasing at an average rate of approx 80 MB a day. (give or take 20-30 MB)
In terms of RAM usage, PIVX daemon may use up to 2GB and averages around 1 to 1.5 GB while running currently.

PIVX blocks now frequently include computationally expensive Zerocoin transactions that can take a while on low end VPS.
So there may be some rare odd block once a day or two that may cause a slow VPS to lag behind, fork off chain or crash.
However, a $5 a month VPS may be sufficient to run a PIVX masternode now for the most part otherwise.

But once zDEX is released, you can opt to run your MN as a zDEX node to receive some extra PIV from the trade fees.
Minimum specification has not been released yet but was told we may need at least a 2 core VPS with 3-4GB RAM.
Once the public alpha release is made available (eta November 1), we should have a better idea what we'll need.

Thanks a lot! So would you recommend for me to first run a MN and scale it when zDEX is released. Or should I wait for zDEX alpha release first and rent a better VPS from the start?

Is zDEX MN going to be a sepparate node or just an extended MN? Will the stake for zDEX be the same as for MN, 10k PIV?

In addition to the positive news regarding PIVX's likely partnership with Numo (look back a few posts if you missed it), here's some positive news about the progress of zDex and its release schedule:

The price of PIVX in recent months has been going down, I think it's time to improve. Although PIVX is listed on many major exchanges. However, if there is improvement, it will attract more investors.

Most of altcoins were down dramatically last months as well as bitcoin downward movements.
PIVX team will announce breaking news, achivements, etc. at the right time when all things are ready to release to PIVX community.
