Bitcoin is money thats why it is called cryptocurrency or online money. It is also can be a medium of exchange in other countries like paying it on a restaurant or having a soda on a vending machine.

Anything that is being used as a medium of exchange is money. Bitcoin, like gold, is money.
I agree. Bitcoin is like a digital currency so it is considered as money. After all, Bitcoin can be used to buy online, payment in restaurants, trading and making transactions so its like a money at all. It helps people and provide even our needs.

That depends on you, what's bitcoin to you? How do you understand bitcoin? Others treat bitcoin is money and others just treat it as a currency. So what I can say is it all depends on you.

Bitcoin like e-money provided by various banks. However, bitcoin is still not widely believed by people as a legitimate transaction tool even in my country. e-money and bitcoin have the same function but bitcoin is a crypto that has a price value whereas e-money is just a transfer of real money into electronic money. with an explanation like this I agree if bitcoin is money.

Yes Bitcoin is money for sure. We can buy or sell them, there are exchange where we can do this, we can get fiat money for them. Bitcoin is money, no doubt, but not everyone knows about it and not everybody uses it.

Bitcoin is certainly cash. You can use it to buy and sell items which definitely groups it as being cash. Also, it's really worth a lot of United states dollar.
yes bitcoin is money but it is not a official money of any country that,s why some people think that bitcoin is not money
but i think that they are wrong because bitcoin is a type of currency which is used as a medium of money.which is also called money..

Yes, just that it's a digital currency. If Eur and USD can be traded and BTC is also traded for in d market, then it is money.

I dont believe can now be called as money yet.
Because of the way people uses it.  They treat it as an asset or investment rather than a money that they will be willing to use on their daily lives.

Yes and no,  it's easier to transfer abroad than money,  but it's still sort of money.  It's not physical,  however,  which may be one of the things that it may have to be to be defined as money.  I feel that overall it's not very worthwhile to use it for in person transactions,  but as for abroad ones,  it's 100% worth the time to set up and use!

I think that since the writing of this topic in 2010, many have already changed their statements that bitcoin is not money. During these years, bitcoin clearly showed its strength precisely as money, digital money and means of payment. Bitcoin is now adopted in most countries as a means of payment and acts as a means of storing value, that is, it fulfills the usual function of money. I think that it is already impossible to argue with this.

Bitcoin is money.  If bitcoin or crypto currency is already existing when those "definitions" where made, I think the writer would have included it.

Absolutely! Bitcoin is money for it used by many people to pay for their goods or to transfer money from one person to another person. On the other hand, it is different from fiat money since bitcoin is a digitized cryptocurrency which can only used through online transactions. We cannot hold bitcoin in our hand but we can keep it in our wallet for future used.

I did not think it will be the new form of money, bitcoin is expensive now because people are buying to make this as an investment.
Way to go because the development will not happen in just a short period of time, slowly but we are going to the right direction, soon we can see massive adoption.

I did not think it will be the new form of money, bitcoin is expensive now because people are buying to make this as an investment.
Way to go because the development will not happen in just a short period of time, slowly but we are going to the right direction, soon we can see massive adoption.
Yes bitcoin is very expensive now because people prefer holding bitcoin than spending it, but we should take the consideration that bitcoin was created to make transaction anonymously so its best to use bitcoin because in the long run we might eliminate the reason why bitcoin was created if we keep holding our bitcoin.
