I think that since the writing of this topic in 2010, many have already changed their statements that bitcoin is not money. Bitcoin is money. If bitcoin or crypto currency is already existing when those "definitions" where made, I think the writer would have included it.
Absolutely! Bitcoin is money for it used by many people to pay for their goods or to transfer money from one person to another person. On the other hand, it is different from fiat money since bitcoin is a digitized cryptocurrency which can only used through online transactions. We cannot hold bitcoin in our hand but we can keep it in our wallet for future used. |

It will be a new form of money, Bitcoin has a value that you can exchange to become a money to spend for. and I think in future Bitcoin will considered also as a legit money that you can pay in stores and others.

I did not think it will be the new form of money, bitcoin is expensive now because people are buying to make this as an investment. Way to go because the development will not happen in just a short period of time, slowly but we are going to the right direction, soon we can see massive adoption. |

I think it is because many person are using BTC for now what else if everybody know about this that we can earn something by just login in and posting on some page instant money isn't it. BTC is money cheers  |

I did not think it will be the new form of money, bitcoin is expensive now because people are buying to make this as an investment. Yes bitcoin is very expensive now because people prefer holding bitcoin than spending it, but we should take the consideration that bitcoin was created to make transaction anonymously so its best to use bitcoin because in the long run we might eliminate the reason why bitcoin was created if we keep holding our bitcoin. |

Bitcoin is money. Bitcoin is converted into money. Money can be converted into bitcoin. Bitcoin can be used for global transactions, and Bitcoin can buy goods on some occasions. So bitcoin is money.

The reason why there is so many people who is interested in bitcoins is because of its value, That we can exchange into fiat with larger value, Some of the people here earn bitcoins for living.

Well I consider bitcoin as money that I can use online and also to earn money. It's a crypto asset that you should value because this thing can generate income for you specially in the long term. Cryptocurrency is clearly our future so watch out for this technology. |

My personal opinion is that bitcoin is money. Because you can use it like money.That means it has all functions that money have.So in that sense it's money.
But in other sense it's not like paper money.Although it's a virtual currency.
