His claims that eating and sleeping aren't necessary might just be a tiny clue to the fact that he's not exactly rational at the moment (even by dank standards).

Why do you doubt?  What do I have to gain by creating division between us through lies, if I impose no power over the division created?  Lying hurts yourself, it separates yourself from the truth.
