You cannot expect price stability in bitcon for a long time, as it is simply impossible, it will keep on moving up and down on regular basis, you should buy when you are comfortable with the price.

Buying bitcoin in small parts is the best thing to do, as you always have an opportunity to buy some more if price drops in next few days, and selling is not a big problem as you will only sell when you see higher price.

That is the best strategy to buy bitcoins, just wait for it to became more cheaper rather than doing panic buying, because there are some people , I think, that what they are doing is panic buying, they are running over for the halving.
