If you use blockchain, you could name them so it's easier to keep up what's what

If you use blockchain, you could name them so it's easier to keep up what's what You can label your addresses with almost every client that I know of. Blockchain.info is a service which allows users to publicly display the names attached to the address. It isn't accurate at times since anyone can use satoshi nakamoto as the name as long as they make a website with the name and address with it.

I only have 2 addresses. 1 if them is my cold wallet, where I store most of my bitcoin, which is around 10 bitcoin. I also have another wallet, a web wallet where I keep some 'extra change' so I can do stuff like shop and gamble, very conveniently.

Blockchain is also pretty unreliable, with all its crashing and security issues. I prefer Coinbase as it is easier and safer to use. They also pay the miners fees for your first 1000 transactions.

If you are using Coinbase to store your coins, most likely you'll have more than 1 BTC address as Coinbase generates new BTC address for every transaction. I think having 2-3 BTC address is enough. I have 2 BTC address, 1 from Coinbase and 1 from Blockchain

How much bitcoin address do you have and why you have to create more than one address?
They say it was said by Satoshi to "use the address once and discard it " ,other than that it is much difficult for people to track you and you could keep track of all the deals you have ever done (by labeling the address) if you create a new address per transaction. I got around 400~ maybe.

3 Addresses, Just because it's very easy to make more than one, no specific reason for having more than one though.

I do receive facuet payments and my signature campaign payments are all in one address and I could not find any advantages of using many addresses.

I have maybe 10 or more, I use more than one because I think it would be hard to track for my own safe.
Why do people need so many bitcoin addresses? Like isn't 10 addresses a bit much. Just use 1 or 2 as your cold wallet and then another 1 to keep your change in that you can use for gambling, trading and ask that kind of stuff.

If the wallet doesn't allow, the address could be spend linked together. It would depend on what wallet type it is. For HD wallets, the address generated are predictable and hence a new seed would be required. I find it confusing if I were to use one address for example loans. It would be hard to tell who repaid. Hence, I create 10 addresses and assign them to different loans.

I guess I have around 30 wallets in use right now, of which around 20 wallets are to store my cold wallet coins. I like to spread my coins into plenty of addresses to make it difficult for any one to know how much coins I exactly have. That's the main reason.

...So creating many addresses doesn't seem to affect bitcoin network...
I think you do not "create" bitcoin addresses... They already exist. How many bitcoin address you have right now? why you have more than one?
I have four addresses: 1 for everyday, normal (re)use. The most active address. 1 for storing bitcoins for specific purpose. 1 for storing bitcoin for another specific purpose. 1 for storing bitcoin for another specific purpose, in "cold storage". And that is how I organize my bitcoins. I hate having my bitcoins in some "wallet.dat" file and having to use a different address every time as many suggest. This I'll never do, it is simply annoying.
