I see a lot people are mixing things up, transactions aren't getting slower -- transactions speeds are almost instant. You are referring to the confirmation times as transactions take longer to confim due to people including poor fees. I can agree that fees are too high, but we can't do much about it other than to make the most out of every situation. You either include proper fees and see your transactions confirm (generally) within 2 blocks, or you stay stringy and keep waiting many hours for a single confirmation to come through.

The main that why i think people should use bitcoins is because you can buy whatever you want and no one can trace you or your transaction.
If people start using bitcoins then it will inspire shopkeepers to accept bitcoins online and in local.

Another misconception here that no one is able to trace your transaction when it comes to bitcoin when ever transaction has a public ledger  If a shop keeper plans to accept bitcoin he has to have the ability to convert it to the local currency as soon as possible and with the current situation it is not possible .

Actually, bitcoin is more transparent than ordinary fiat when it comes to tracing or such. As you can see that the transactions always saved and can be traced by simply using blockchain explorer, but, people keep repeating that bitcoin is untraceable. Such a bad misconception that's get people wrong about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is highly transparent than the fiat or other transaction source that we use. Only the end to end user identity is not known by the user viewing the transaction. So misconception need to be resolved making users understand the reality.

yeah what they understand about untraceable is that people can not trace the bitcoin sender / receiver ,

It is easier to transfer from one to another, it does not have a transaction fee and it is a good investment too, even without doing anything but saving, you're getting some income when the bitcoin price is getting higher than the day you brought it. Actually what you are saying is totally false i remember , 2 weeks ago i made a few transactions like 0.8 and 0.5 with a fee of 25k satoshi but it took 2 hours to get a single confirmation on the 0.8 'th one and after that i was in the middle of sending 0.5 btc with same fee as well.
But when 40 mins got over and i didn't got a single confirmation then i made another transaction of a small amount like 0.0003 but this time i included fee 0.001.
Surprisingly tx for confirmed within 20 min plus that 0.5 'th aswell.

In my opinion it is only the ease of the use of bitcoin to make deals with your own money without came across any types of the Midway agents and secondly here in bitcoin we get the privacy to make transfer our bitcoin and use it in any ways Anonymously .
So it is just like a source of money or a treasure of the internet money that can't be destroyed by anyone in anyway because its algorithm at which is operating is highly secure than any other altcoins or coin .

I don't think common people "should" use Bitcoin right now, it's very complicated for most, specially women and not tech savvy people. I don't want to sound harsh but that's my experience. Also to be honest everything can be done via credit cards or paypal, there's not an actual need for Bitcoin for them. Privacy is an illusion and credit cards have insurance, there's no risk and they are instant.

Bitcoin strengths are other things, like its unique technology, disruptive ideas that can be applied or used in the future but because of price volatility and difficult to get a hold of it hasn't found a niche yet.
