Litecoin follows Bitcoin. And Litecoin is leading, when looking at the charts.
For the past 6 months or so, both major coins (Bitcoin Gold and Litecoin Silver, the only 2 digital currencies that matter; everything else is shit), have barely moved.
When looking at 2013, the last major Crypto Rally, the percentage return on LTC investment was much better than Bitcoin. Litecoin was worth only a few cents at the beginning of 2013, and went up to $48 a piece, with a yearly average of around $15.
Last year, Litecoin saw another rally to around $8.60.
When Bitcoin halves this year, Litecoin will profit from it.
Gemini is considering adding Litecoin. Coinbase, the largest Bitcoin company in the world, has its dev. team lead by the inventor of Litecoin: Charles Lee (aka Coblee).
Litecoin is traded on all major Chinese exchanges.
If Litecoin was dead, it would not have been able to sustain $3-$4 a piece for so long. People are hoarding Litecoin like crazy. Anyone who denies this; that's your own choice.
You can either invest in an obvious scam: Ether --> a pump an dump scheme, IPO, unlimited supply, traded on 1 scam exchange and another exchange with major withdrawal issues, and not traded on any of the Chinese exchanges (who are leading the Crypto investment world). Or you can invest in the solid, 4+ year existing, highly traded/liquid Litecoin digital currency.
Are you going to be an incredible moron and buy Ether, or will you be a smart person and buy Litecoin?

If the price of bitcoin rises to $1000 this year, the litecoin price will rise to $10 or higher. Some people will buy it.

Meanings LTC will see at least $15 (taking into account LTC/BTC going down, but USD value will still go up. If, like 2013, LTC/BTC ratio goes up 5-6 times, it means USD value of LTC could reach at least $75 when BTC is at $1700).

I do not think the ratio of litecon/bitcoin will rise in long term. It is just a clone and controlled by very few miners. If there is news that the litecoin is taken over by a more competitent developer team and new feature is added, the price will be high. |
