I think that they want to secure their coins. And off course there are allot of coins now many more then where 2 years ago. So that's a reason why there are many bitcoin wallets and many people are using them.

People mainly have multiple wallets for security. Therefore, if one wallet gets breached, they don't lose all the coins.

I use more than 1 wallet like BLOCKTRAIL, Blockchain and Coinbase. I use them if there is a problem of some of the wallet I would use another wallet until the problem is solved.
great think People use so many bitcoin wallet because when come in wallet problem and that time use other bitcoin wallet for bitcoin safety all customer is want to save bitcoin. I think even if you use a lot wallet but you're using an online wallet where his wallet is a wallet third parties. Coinbase as they seem to be able to control your bitcoin? I do not know for blockchain. but it would be safer if you add a desktop or offline wallet |

There are so many people who are using the bitcoins these days so it is not strange that there are allot of bitcoin wallets users. But if you want to know why they are using it read there comments. They want to store them and it is a little bit secured by the wallets.

Yes even with high reputation chances of becoming a shit company is possible in those web wallet provider but they are registered one and all information about the owners and staff are on hand with the authorities so whenever they do wrong they will sued. |

I think that also depends on the bitcoin investment site that only accepts payments cash in or cash out from that particular wallet .
There's a good point also there because using many wallets scattered your money or bitcoins ,so if hack happens there's a still a backup for our money.

I think the reason why people use so moany Bitcoin wallets is because when one gets hacked they still have a couple more so they do not lose all f there coins at once. It is just fro safety reason I believe.

People use them for their security reason, there may be security in that way, as the xapo also states that your address will be changed after transaction to the existing address for your security. So it suggests that changing your address increases your security... |

yeah it just makes it less likely to lose all the money but it will be the same when you use a lot of wallet but you use the same password for every wallet then use a lot wallet will not benefit anything. make sure you use different passwords on each wallet dude |

And it is hard for each transaction to them to be traced if they have so many wallets or maybe they just want to try different kinds of wallets. agree with you, but we must not save bigger amount in 3rd wallet like coinbase or xapo, i think save bitcoin at paper wallet is good way , you can redeem it when you need bitcoin |

As you know, bitcoin is money and wallet is a bank.
People do it because they want to make sure the bank where they save their money is good, save, low fees, and instant. So we just try more and at the end we choose the great one.

op is talking about bitcoin addresses even though he mentions wallets. but people still think he is talking about wallet clients, which is not the case of course. people use different addresses for privacy and safety purposes. especially when it comes to cold wallets. people like to spead their coins into several addresses. if one wallet file corrupts, then they still have the others. |

Yeah it might be doable. However I think that they do it because maybe they have a few things to be or need to do that, as they have their own online store using btc, where each transaction must have a different wallet for confirmed transactions done |

People typically have a lot of wallets either for security reasons, where they divide their Bitcoin up a bit to prevent all of it getting lost if something bad happens to their wallet, or they have more wallets to divide their Bitcoin up to have a bit more of a sense on anonymity rather than security. Once you start to spread your Bitcoin over multiple "IDs" it becomes hard to connect the dots.

It happens because of the differences to each of their service. Why would a husband cheat to his wife and find a younger and much sexier girl? Simple better service lol just joking tho but in the end we still return to older and longer service. I personally mean that dekstop wallet is the best
