AVG antivirus is still the best.

Kaspersky is doing the job better for a long run. But i think it's more important to prevent some bad actions than hope that antivirus will save us.

Norton, BitDefender and Kapersky all seem to have very good reviews. Should do some research into them.

I do not think that is wise, not at all. Thought so one time my self, but that did not turn to be good for me. It was just a matter of time before i pick up some virus and in time i needed to reinstall my windows and i lost all my files. Depending on job that you do, maybe it could work out for you, but i doubt that. Maybe you have virus and even do not know about it, and the moment you find out, it will be too late. So i recommend to you, find some anti virus program that you like .

ESET or Zonealerm . i Use zonealern extreme security.

For me Malwarebytes, but I can't make it work without buying subscription. Instead I settled for ESET Nod32. You can download it from the official site, then there are free keys for it around the internet. Some activate it for a few weeks or so, but there are keys that can give you much longer time. I managed to find one that's valid through to January next year.

It's pretty easy to avoid wannacry. Just yesterday I received a skype message with a badoo.com link or something like that. Got it from a person I hadn't spoken to in 4 years, then out of nowhere one message and it's a url. Later I heard a friend had got his PC infected by that same link sent from someone else.
