ESET and Kasperskey are 100% the best anti-viruses out there right now. Trust me. A person spreading malware to bypass ESET and Kasperskey along with all the rest of the anti-viruses will have to pay hundreds of dollars a month just to bypass their detections. I have used most of the crypters that are sold on HF (Cyberseal, Bytecrypter, AbyssProtect (Gone now), Topher crypter, etc. They all do not bypass scantime ESET and Kasperskey most of the time. And if they somehow do bypass those, they 9/10 times to do bypass runtime or last after a PC restart.

So if you are wanting to buy or just have one on your PC, I would go with ESET.

I use Avira Antivir and used it for years, can really recommend it Smiley using the free version of it and works perfectly. Then complement with it with Malwarebytes. Feels like i have good protection and then i have limited user rights on my user account (on client) and limitiations in my network.

I'm working as an IT-specialist/developer and also coded malwares/virus (for educational purpose, in lab enviroment) myself, so i feel comfortable with my setup at the moment.

Antivirus programs are bad for pc health, just be careful and be clean with your work in PC and you will be virus free.

common sense, kidding aside i don't think that anti-virus is really necessary, just install some adblock on your chrome and a malwarebytes and I'm sure that your computer is all good. Though if you insist i suggest you use Bitdefender.

Antivirus software is critical for everyone. Without it, you risk losing your personal information and files, even your passwords. I am using McAfee and i am quite satisfied. 2 years ago i was using Eset that was good too but i think McAfee the best one right now.
