There are banks more friendly than others with bitcoin payment system, but i didn't know any bank on my country that accepts deposits of bitcoins, or allow its costumers to buy directly bitcoins. In my opinion if bitcoin base users grows so much, banks will look about accepting bitcoin deposits and allowing users to buy bitcoins.

I really don't think that it would be possible in near future, as banks will never support bitcoins, banks and governments are against bitcoins, and bitcoin is a threat to banking system, so that is impossible.

what you said is correct, but i think in the near future Bitcoin will become like gold then Banks will start to give the wallet services and will start to give deposit system for Bitcoins.

Specifically are there any Canadian banks that are more cool than others?
I will set a account up with one bank just for bitcoin use if there is such a bank that is more open than the other 4-5 banks at the top.

Would be nice if you could open up a bitcoin savings account.  If I hear one more fucking time about how banks like the technology but not the bitcoin, I'm going to puke all over this forum.  Nothing will be the same after I do this.

Seeing as how banks like to control things I doubt it. And you never know what taxes they'll have in place to "manage" your account. Better leave things as they are. Transaction taxes are way cheaper.

Banks like to blame the governments for the tight regulations against innovating technology, the truth is somewhere in between. They could easily lobby to adapt new stuff and get laws changed.

no they dont accept any bitcoin payments as they are against bitcoins
yeah i never heard that any bank accept bitcoin or something else, but i heard that world bank's interested in blockchain, i think blockchain yes but bitcoin unfortunately not, they can't accept it

Exactly, even I haven't heard that any bank accepting bitcoins, and that is not possible, as banks are facing tough competition from bitcoins, so I don't think that banks will come in support of bitcoins in near future.

yeah I am agree with you .I am also. ever haven,t heard that any bank accepting bitcoin but now thinking is not possible what is the future .I don,t know but now only i hope . bitcoin accepting all bank in world

But here's the thing, banks shouldn't be in the picture when trying to lobby for new rules or regulations the governments imposes... They are BUSSINESSES, they shouldn't be regarded as a political force, and that's why we are seeing such a shit show today... Banks are looking out for their profits... Not for the people.

I'm not sure if you would even use a bank's service if for instance one bank supports bitcoin, would you guys trust your bitcoins to them?
there have been sites which serve as a bank for bitcoin as far as i know.

there was a poll a while back in this section about what you like about bitcoin. one of the choices was to get rid of banks and that choice was so popular.
this shows nobody really wants a bank that is why they chose bitcoin in first place

in sept 2015 i read article Barclays to become the first major bank to accept Bitcoin

but after 1 day barclays confirmed
"No Bitcoin is travelling through Barclays systems. We are working with some charity clients in a proof of concept to understand how Bitcoin payments might help with their fund raising and fund disbursement needs,"

i think in future we will found 1 biggest bank accept bitcoin for send and receive like other currency

i don't think that there is any bank in world that accept bit coin.
but may be any online bank not practically .
and i also think that in the future there can be no bank that acceot bitcoins because with bit coin there will be more risk and profit of with money in bank . and that will cause either terminate to btc or useless value of btc in actual price .
that all
since last month i thought a idea to start bank of bitcoins.
but some thus type of thinking stopped me to do the same.

to my knowledge there is no major banking system that accepts bitcoin. and i don't see them doing it in the future either. because they are working with fiat that they can control, they might start investing in bitcoin to earn profit but not accepting it

if there were a bitcoin bank (a bank that accepts bitcoin as investment like regular banks) that would be so cool. hard to trust, but very useful.
but the other way around which means the regular banks (which are working with fiat) accepting bitcoin, there is just no way. bitcoin is threatening their very own existence.

Why useful? In which way would that be useful???
The main point of btc is that you're your own bank! What the hell would be the point of a bank???
The interest? You mean that bloody 0.5% the banks give you while they use your money to kill the economy? Seriously???

as Kevinatin have mentioned in a couple of comments above the benefits of such services can be as simple as giving a fixed profit on your bitcoin balance which you entrust them with. or they can offer services like giving loans which is a common usage of regular banks too.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.
