Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
Not really a bank, but Cashila does a decent job. Works similar as Paypal - you get an online account (e-wallet) that can be funded with Bitcoin. You can use the funds to pay bills, wire transfer money, making purchases & the great thing is that you can also receive payments. So, very similar to a real bank account. Been using them for my freelance work and I recommend it. Using my real bank account less and less now

I think that many banks do not accept it. Because I think a lot of people do not even know what Bitcoins. And if they know more than they think it is unsafe fact.

I think frankly not. Banks find Bitcoin just not nice. Because the transaction costs of Bitcoin is much cheaper and therefore they lose customers.

I'd give it at least 2 more years before they successfully incorporate bitcoin into their systems. I mean they'd have to pretty much redo most of their legislation to comply with national laws and whatnot. Being a bank you get the perk of integrating new stuff really slowly.
So to answer you question, no currently no bank accepts bitcoins. There are many banks however that show interest to bitcoins.
I think its true, but I do not see banks do it. I think they want a new digital currency, not the bitcoin.

From a neutral viewpoint banks neither need nothing. The only thing that would attract them is a growing economy based on Bitcoin, not necessarily the currency itself.

I highly doubt there would be a bank for bitcoins because the whole point of btc is for it to be anonymous and that bank will totally destroy that ideal.
Another crucial point about bitcoin is decentralization and removing the need for a third party to conduct money transfers. Well, that's exactly the banks core business.

all banks are controlled by 1 group of people, they will never accept bitcoin
I wouldn't say 1 group of people, but only a few families control the majority of it. Remember the 1%/99% thing...

But why would they help to make grow a technology that, in the long run, would make them weaker? Decebntralization is just the opposite of what they do.

It's not the transaction cost but the volatality which makes bitcoins useful to users and bad for banks as they don't know if they will manage to cope up with the prices of bitcoins. With sock markets, it is different as they know how to recover their costs but it's not the case with bitcoins as it's not owned by anyone.

Since bitcoins are not recognized as a virtual currency, it is not accepted by any bank. Coinbase and Xapo are bitcoin banks that can be trusted as they need verification to open an account but they don't provide any private keys which does not make us own the account. If any bank does start accepting bitcoins, it would be great for me as well as I would love to deposit it in a bank rather than an online bank.

Ukraine’s biggest private bank PrivatBank integrated Bitcoin payments. Never heard of this bank ever. What is the interest rates they offer for holding bitcoins in their bank? Edit: Read about it but it's not a big bank compared to HDFC/ICICI.
