I Guess that there is isn't any Bank accepting directly bitcoin yet. I heard Barclays is very friendly towards bitcoin. but still they do not accept it.
However, I think it is a matter of time until we see a Bank start to accept bitcoin

No there is no bank that is accepting the bitcoin, and I hope a bank will never do that because it will destroy the bitcoin with his untraceable lines and security.
I also hat the banks because they are hating on the bitcoin because they can't control it at all, they only like the blockchain..
Thats true there is no bank in this world we can which is accepting bitcoins directly. Everyone wants to get bitcoins through indirect way to get benefits.

Yeah, and I don't see it happening in near future, not at least in my country, as I don't think that any bank could accept bitcoin in my country, as bitcoin is a tough competitor for them.
Most of the banks dont like Bitcoin I think. Banks dont like Bitcoin because Bitcoin is much cheaper in transaction.
I hope that the online wallets will be more worth and that they can also be more popular.

Not only its cheaper, its self controlled. You don't need a bank to take care of your bitcoins. You can manage it yourself through online and cold wallets. and banks will have no or very little part in bitcoins.

One more thing, the wallet is basically a sort of as bank for bitcoins. Its stores your bitcoins and you make transactions with it. SO for an online Currency, Wallet will be the Bank. I guess this is the right idea ?
that's already happening because bitcoin is decentralized thing so you're your bank, nothing can bother you as long bitcoin still decentralized and it's the benefit of using bitcoin
You guys are right. There is a wallet who playing same banks role, it is xapo. Xapo is full like a bank, xapo offers bitcoin debit card, for any account holders, and people use this card in the world for shopping.

Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
i don't know , i don't see or heard it . may be there is not because the base of the bank is real money

Yup, the base of the bank is real cash. And I think your dream will not come true in the present generation. It may take a number of years. When the Bitcoin becomes legal currency in all over the world, then your dream will come true.

We might actually have real brick and mortar bitcoin banks and financial institution fully regulated by law soon - Switzerland is gearing towards this idea.
There is strong incentive in Switzerland to enable Banks to operate on cryptocurrency markets as well:

Quote
The long-term success of Switzerland's financial centre depends largely on its ability to innovate.
FINMA is therefore adopting a more pro-innovation approach to regulation and supervision and will push for the removal of unnecessary regulatory obstacles for innovative business models.

Damn this is an impressive necro-post.

As for whether or not there are any financial institutions that accept Bitcoin, I would say that it is doubtful and chances are there are no banks around the world that accept Bitcoin, aside from maybe a Swiss bank since they've been pushing it so far. It's not something I'm 100% sure of, but I think I remember reading that somewhere a week or two ago.

Still now there is no bank accepting bitcoin directly for exchanges. I hope people are buying bitcoin and investing them into trading and converting them into their local currency by using their local exchanges. It is very big task to implement bitcoin in banks, it will take some time.

so indirectly bitcoin and banks. is the opponent? I think because bitcoin currency only. indirectly they can not be compared. so do you think the bank will not likely accept bitcoin?

Very difficult to accept the fact that banks will start accepting bitcoins, at least not in my country where governments have total controls on fiat, so i don't think they will support bitcoins.
When? I haven't seen some announcement or news tell me if the bank was accepting bitcoin soon. Sounds like ridiculous in my ears. But if we can turn it back (Speculation about bitcoin has approved by a bank into the blockchain system) We may get a lot of the news in the network.

I do not know if there
is a bank who accept bitcoin
but I hope there are some bank
who accept it.

There are no banks yet but there are sites who serves as an escrow function to exchange and trade bitcoins to cash then deposit and cashout to your preferred banks, including remittance centers.Special Mention is coins.ph in the philippines i heard many good comments about that site about encashing bitcoins to peso. In other countries there are none that I know but maybe soon banks will accepts bitcoin and loan bitcoins.

the answer will be no, and there is small chances that bank is going to accept bitcoin because their main idea is opposite, the bank need clear and transparent transaction while bitcoin is anonymous, and all the bank needs document to open account while bitcoin refuse those idea so we can keep our wallet hidden from everyone

No banks have started accepting bitcoin officially. Lots of banks were in a plan to adopt the Blockchain technology. Some banks have already started making bitcoin as a investment indirectly. In future more possibilities are there for bitcoin using in banks.

Not a single chance. Look at it from this point - Would you incorporate something in your company that most likely will disrupt your entire way of doing business? Banks thrive on controlling every aspect such as the money that people have stored there, every aspect of transacting with the outside world, every aspect of your personal information, every aspect of your financial status, etc. Long story short - Banks want to maintain being the central point of everything. Bitcoin's decentralized aspect goes against all their values. In that regard, it's easy to assume it will never happen.

Why would they at all? They can't make a profit unless from monthly fees or smthn. Also, you wallet is your bank, no need to deposit in some other one.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

So far I haven't heard there is any bank that accepts Bitcoins. But I wouldn't be surprised if they start to accept it. Afterall, they are very interested in blockchain technology so.Bitcoin could come along. There are also some rumors that some banks are preparing themselves to start offer some Bitcoin related services to their clients, like Bitcoin wallet together with bank account.

I remember that a small bank in Switzerland was selling bitcoins for fiat.

I don`t know about a bank that accepts bitcoin deposits.

I don't there's any bank accept bitcoin for transaction. Banks only accept fiat not digital currency like bitcoin. Besides, bitcoin itself isn't a legal currency, bitcoin needs to be acknowledge by government to do so, so I don't it will accept in bank in anytime soon.

maybe someday in the future the bank could accept bitcoin. because the current bitcoin market has developed very well. we just need time to get to that era. bitcoin will be able to enter the world of global banking in the future !!!
