Issuing Banks are supporting new Program Managers that are entering the Bitcoin space, see Shift Payments program issued by MCB out of New York.  One line of thought is comparable consumer products; landline telephony.  There was a dramatic shift of consumers from landlines to mobile 15 years ago.  Eventually a new demographic emerged that skipped land lines completely.  In the same thought line with Bitcoin globally supported, and smart phones continuing to bridge financial service gaps, "self banking" is a reality to end consumers (non innovators).  Brick and mortar financial institutions are on the decline...  Small banks will use this opportunity to grab marketshare by playing within CFPB and OCC recommendations of OFAC and CIP.  Larger bank entities will not want to lose their market share.

Just look at the job opportunities on Ladder for example, Senior Vice President of Cryptocurrency Development.  The banks are posturing for acceptance.  Fidelity, Chase, etc... nobody is going to go in front of their Board of Directors to say we missed the boat.

This is bigger than customer deposits at your nearest Wells Fargo.

Time will tell.

EDIT:  Im in the US and grammar.

I don't know for sure, but I've never heard about banks accepted bitcoin before, usually it just an issues and plans.
There are some banks like xapo, but I don't think it's include as we discussed here, it's better if a central bank or private bank in certain country state that they accepted bitcoin, but only time will tell.

As i know there isnt any position yet about those feature, the country is facing financial problems, and those is the only topic, showing and being talked all days, besides that there an attempt of politicians to keep safe with the money they got ilegal, its a mess. I doubt i will be see some bank accepting bitcoin in the near future, since there is a position about bitcoin yet.

I can't say for other countries but in my country answer is definitely no.
I read that our national bank issued warning about Bitcoin, that this is just something virtual, without value, no real money, no legal regulation etc.
So, I really don't believe that any bank will dare to accept something what is not legally regulated and risk punishment.
We will have to wait for some other, more important countries, like USA, UK, Germany to accept Bitcoin officially first, and than probably other countries will follow.

So far I haven't heard there is any bank that accepts Bitcoins. But I wouldn't be surprised if they start to accept it. Afterall, they are very interested in blockchain technology so.Bitcoin could come along. There are also some rumors that some banks are preparing themselves to start offer some Bitcoin related services to their clients, like Bitcoin wallet together with bank account.
Well I think the other way, I suppose that I would be completely shocked if banks ever accepted bitcoin. Because banks only deal with fiat money which is legalised and identified by the government, bitcoin can hardly get in the system of banks. And if this happened, I don't think that many bitcoin users would like this as it would make bitcoin no longer bitcoin.

I think the idea of bank accepting bitcoin is absurd. They would just look like they're endorsing bitcoins which is their primary opponent right now. The two have opposite ideas so they shouldn't be combined. It would be something like McDonalds accepting Max's gift certificate or coupons as payment.

There's no bank that accepts bitcoin right now but you would have to use a bank account before you can withdraw your bitcoin into fiat. When they start accepting bitcoins, people will be intrigued and look up online what bitcoin is. They might end up using it, and embracing the whole concept which is something our government doesn't want to happen.

Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

Well as i have experienced it "YES!" there is one in my country i really didn't imagine that you can cash out bitcoin by banks me and my friend tried it once we was afraid that we would get caught because we thought that its a scam money and the security guard has a suspicious look on his face when we got no credit card i am really new at that time though but still we manage to deposit the money we have a lot to buy at that time but then the worst part of it is the bank really got strict i don't know why or what happened they want a valid I.D for someone that well go in the bank so they can check if its you but he good part they don't accept tax if you deposit it Cheesy its really amazing try it explore the banks

Where do you live?
Bitcoin bank or a bank that works bitcoin sounds as the greatest idea. Bit if it is still not exist that means that everything is not so easy about that. But I'm sure that one day banks will start to work with bitcoin as with fiat. It's just the question of the time.

as the bitcoin users are not too much presently therefore banks are not giving preference to bitcoin, but it is a fact the users of bitcoin are continuously increasing and very soon banks will realize the importance of bitcoin and they will certainly start accepting bitcoin, may be they create their own online wallets system also.

I remember that a small bank in Switzerland was selling bitcoins for fiat.

I don`t know about a bank that accepts bitcoin deposits.
Not sure about the bank there but I remember a post here about some guy buying bitcoin near the airport in Switzerland officially using a slot machine or something. However, I remember an online bitcoin bank. Here it is:http://bitcoincryptobank.com/. I don't know whether it is worth trusting, though.

as presently it is not look like that bitcoin will be accepted by any government, but i think as time pass and as soon as the number of bitcoin users will increase governments and banks will accept bitcoin, bank will start depositing bitcoin in their online wallets.

There is none i searched through the internet about news and sites but i only saw a ponzi site that talking about bitcoins banks or banks that accepting bitcoin and saw this thread in google.. So it means there is still no bitcoin banks or a banks that can accept bitcoin.
For now i think we do not need banks that accept bitcoin since we can exchange bitcoin or buy bitcoins in many 3rd party exchange sites.

Why would a bank accept crypto

Because it can help them to promote their services with a new name of it including the usage of crypto (bitcoin). And instead of competing with bitcoin, better to adopt it.

when they can make their own.

Yes they can make their own, specific the central bank is doing this but they can't just print out unlimited money because it will just make lesser value in the economy.

Maybe currency exchange places for travellers but no banks

Unless that bank is operating worldwide.

If anyone has the article from a few weeks ago (I'm too lazy to go and google for it) that was talking about the Bitcoin boom in Switzerland and all the things happening within there, wasn't there some news that the Swiss Central Bank was going to start accepting Bitcoin or whatever? I don't remember for sure whether or not that was a thing, but it seems to be riding on the edge of my mind.

Well, EY (Ernst & Young for the non-accounting types) in Switzerland has stated they will begin accepting bitcoin for services in January of next year. They have also installed bitcoin ATMs in their offices. I am hoping it will spread, as many accounting firms are desperately seeking employees with blockchain programming experience.
