Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Well with a war happening ont the begining of such stage,i believe some people would die before the war even start, some had invested all economies at it,imagine you wont be able to get it or to the bitcoin get hacked since the hash would be providind the huge protection as before, soo if internert returns it would be a hit and a depply hit into bitcoin .
Yes that kind of war situation also would not involve all the countries in this world. So, there is no possibilities for the power to go down the same time in the entire world. But anything would be happened beyond our expectations and control.

who cares, there will be riots people starving mass deaths.. bitcoin and fiat will be the last of your problems.

I searched this thread first prior to posting and found ONLY one instance of it being mention - Internet of Things (IoT).

If the Internet goes down, having bitcoins or money will be the least of your worries (just like in the post I quoted).

We go back to fiat, money currency. Euros, dollars, then we won't have any trade confirmations possible, and nothing would work in bitcoin. Some people would be able to still store bitcoin in offline though:)

Yeah. A lot of people in the world rely on the internet everyday. But that's why you shouldn't just keep Bitcoin. You need other forms of payment like fiat or a credit card.

what do you mean by saying go back? we are still on the same fiat and it will take a lot of time for this to change

i think bitcoin would disappear then wouldnt it? in order for bitcoin to exist there has to be internet for the blockchain

Of course if internet goes down, Bitcoin will also down, and bitcoin will stuck on wallet, and people loat their mind Grin
But how about a hardware wallet that is connected to a debit card. I am not sure how these cards work but they should be able to transfer bitcoin to fiat on the fly.

Well this is something that wont happen, people now are more conscient,if a war starts it wont last more then some months, till the world be without any person, soo money wont save you from a nuclear bomb,or to you think send bitcoin to the bomb with a code into it or throw money to it will make it change target.

I think the problem will not occur in the Bitcoin. Because of the Bitcoin network alone in the Manager/managemennya, so if the internet is down. Bitcoin can still be used. Now the internet is only required to send the Bitcoin from one country to another.

Probably in person trades would be more likely. The issue with that is that I've never seen a physical Bitcoin in my entire life. I've always assumed Bitcoin never had physical coins for monetary worth. Does anything have a real authentic photo of a real Bitcoin?

If the entire web goes down, there will be much bigger problems then Bitcoin failure.

However, it would survive if we are talking just short term Smiley

You may be right, but keep in mind that Bitcoin can be used without a network the internet. Bitcoin it kind of files and can be used without internet. so if the internet is down we can still use Bitcoin. The Internet is only acting as a distributor for Bitcoin spread around the world

Broadcasting bitcoin transactions through radio signals is highly not possible. The reason is that signal interruption occurs leading to failure in transactions.

Even if this scenario happen, internet will be back after some time, and some lucky persons will  have their HDD untacted and will be back online with their BTC, so yes internet can't end forever and so Bitcoin.

if internet goes down that mean bitcoin will down too and useless because i didn't see other way how to use bitcoin without internet connections and i thought this is terrible things because we can't access internet and can't do anything to solve these situations
Internet is a place where bitcoin stored, without Internet bitcoin would be nothing?
It's like ask someone to cross a brige without bridge.  Internet are one of the most important part in bitcoin.
Totally, if there is no internet then bitcoin would not have a chance to be exchanged and used in reality. it's hard to see the internet going down anytime soon though.
