The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

What do I NEVER use? Blockchain.info.

Why? It was the first wallet I ever used and all of my coins were stolen within 24h after purchasing $20 worth of Bitcoins at the time. Don't ever use a wallet that stores your private keys online for you. You WILL lose your coins. It's just a matter of 'when'.

Sorry for your bad experience with blockchain but how could your btc be stolen from your account ! No one knows the identifier except you.
Maybe you had some defected programs or Trojan viruses that stole your data

You'd think so, but no. I had coins in 2 other wallets which weren't compromised and the virus scan came up with nothing. Just avoid it. Look up the hundreds of people it's happened to. Why would you ever trust someone else with your private key? Just go use fiat and give out your debit card pin to everyone in the hopes no one gets their hands on it.

At the moment i use a blockchain wallet, Its simple to use and i like they implement watch only address feature.
although the site is very well known and widely used by many people, but it is possible, could be a scam like mt GOX
I think a third party is not good

Hey I want to ask you something,
In the wallet address what is the cost of the transaction? Does each address different or the same wallet?

I dont use wallets so much as get private keys. So i would not use a wallet unless I can create in on my own machine and dump my private keys.

I used py.wallet to dump my private keys.

also I test the private key ie import it to a local vm fresh wallet, so ensure that it works. Then I use that address.

The problem with any online wallet, they control the back end, so they can trap you even if they dont hold the private keys.

Eg substitute the sending address you put in for the one they want and you would not know.

You would have to get you private key and plug it into electrum of BTCqt. etc.

This was in fact done by one online wallet some time ago.

It makes it vulnerable to a court order of seizure as they court could direct this be done without warning and silently.

bitcoin-qt all the way.
super strong password. regular multiple redundant backups of wallet to a variety of media.
I don't trust any kind of online wallet. Even if the business itself is sound and ethical you never know what kind of regulatory framework could be imposed on it overnight. Just look at what's happening in Russia atm!

Hey are you there already payout and when did you last payout?
I've had a lot of balance there, but I can not payout because the server is being repaired and had to wait I do not know how interesting my bitcoin is there. Since then I never wear coinbase

Blockchain.info must be great for me.
My friend has recommended to use it, I'm convenient with it for receiving bitcoins and I have strong password to secure my bitcoins.

I use electrum, and I like it very much. It lets me import every address I want to use.

That way I can assure every address I use is random and secure enough to store my coins.

When I need to spend some bitcoin, I pay the merchant and move all the bitcoins to a new random address to minimize the risk of getting them stolen.

It seems complicated, but electrum makes it very easy to keep my bitcoins organized.

Just make sure you back up when needed. I do it every time I make significant changes, such as adding a new address.

It is good to use web wallets because it is accessible anywhere and fast but it is not secure.

I am not sure how you define "so many", but it would be good to move them into a more secure wallet once you have more than a Bitcoin. The reason being is that web wallet are easily hack able. I'd suggest you to check out MultiBit and Electrum for desktop based wallet.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

a web wallet or even Electrum, Multibit,... that are connected to internet is what i call hot wallets. so you should only keep what you want to spend on them. so the "amount" would depend on the person and their expenses, and may differ from one person to another.
