There is no exact answer for this question... When you buy a ticket, it can vote anytime within roughly 6 months or expire.. It might vote the next day, might vote in 5 months time, it is random. When it vote, you will receive the ticket price back and 1.4 dcr as a reward minus the transaction and pool fee (0.07 dcr) (more up to date reward info, check out https://dcrstats.com/subsidy). The average time to vote is 28 days... Which mean you receive 1.393 dcr in a month time if you invest 71 dcr. That is roughly 1.9% a month. But it is an average, depend on your luck.

not new but always relevant... The Value of Decentralized Governance https://medium.com/decred/the-value-of-decentralized-governance-d81eee61a937“The many, of whom none may be individually excellent, nevertheless can, when joined together, be better than those [the excellent few]” — Aristole Many Decred newcomers ask the same questions. Why Decred? Why decentralized governance? What benefits does Decred have compared to other cryptocurrencies? What’s so important about decentralized governance? This article explains a few of the reasons why Decred’s decentralized governance system is so valuable.

The ticket prices are going through the roof! I hope this is temporary, though ticket demand is still strong.

That's because in the average ticket buying cycle ~800 tickets or bought. It looks like some whale caused 1,500 one cycle and 2,300 the next cycle to be purchased. Since this is way above the average, we have higher ticket prices for awhile.

Hey guys. I need mobile wallet advice for decred. What do you advice? Or should I download windows wallet and stake?
there is no mobile wallet for DCR yet at the moment the best move is to accumulate and once you have enough to purchase a ticket , join a stakepool and stake using a stakepool means you do not need to have a computer online as the stakepool takes care of this You can use the webwallet on mobile. It's safe, only the blockchain and graphical interface are online, the keys are stored in your device. Don't forget to save the seed. https://wallet.decred.orgthank you you are my man Do you know how to use a stakepool?

Not possible through webwallet. Make your registration in a stake pool. I recommend to https://stake.decredbrasil.comIt has 6 redundant servers in 4 countries around the world (USA, France, Japan and Brazil) that maintains a low latency and makes it impossible for it to fall. Then just go on tickets in this tutorial https://docs.decred.org/getting-started/user-guides/using-decrediton/Basically you select in your wallet the pool in which you registered and paste in the field indicated the api that was generated in your registration.

I still have one question about the pool staking. I use Decredition and I put the ticket purchase on auto. Does my wallet has to be online to buy new tickets? If not I can stay always offline and let the pool do the rest or am I wrong?

Only 169 and 71 tickets bought in the recent cycles so nobody is buying now. I am afraid this may set the price much higher than average for awhile. We are up to like 46% POS staking now, where it used to be like 40%. At least those DCR are off the exchanges, so the DCR price may go up too.

I have a question about the paymetheus wallet. I looked online for the stakepool to see if my tickets voted and they have which is great. But when I go to my wallet it tells a different story. Under
"overview" it show the ~129 decred there but when I go under "accounts" it says I have less than 1. How come this is and where do I have to go to be able to send my DCR? I wanted to buy another
ticket but I seemingly cant. Also I just saw it says ticket price is ~66 but I see it is around 93-95~ at the moment. Does this mean my wallet is screwed up then, because thats what I think occur now.
Help on this would be great I appreciate it thanks fam!

Courtesy xpost; Decred discussed: Dash isn't "working perfectly fine" because InstantSend has been disabled for the last TWO MONTHS. No DIPs have been published despite over a year of lavishly funded R&D. Dash is a parasite. Bitcoin publishes BIPs IN PUBLIC while Dash takes Core core and then bite the hand that feeds it. Dash DIPs are supposedly being developed in secret, rather than being shared with the crypto community that created 99% of Dash's code. Dash just leeches ideas and code off Bitcoin/Litecoin/Peercoin but doesn't contribute back to those projects. Dash is an ugly, parasitic leech that must be removed and burned in a fire. This is how an honorable project with integrity does development: https://github.com/bitcoin/bipsThis is how a shitty project of looters and moochers does development: https://github.com/dashpay/dipsDecred just revealed its Politeia infrastructure for on-chain governance. It's so advanced it really highlights how obsolete Dash is (no multisig, all code changes depend on centralized Dash Core entity, funding scams, funding stupid stuff like rain panchos and air shows, zero accountability, no proposal vetting process, etc.). Rather than settling for governance infrastructure that is just good enough to get the job done, we opted to create what we consider to be the ideal infrastructure for self-governance of a cryptocurrency.
We call our system for storing governance data Politeia, which is based on the ancient Greek term, meaning “a system of government”. Politeia is a system for storing off-chain data that is both versioned and timestamped, essentially “git, a popular revision control system, plus timestamping”. Instead of attempting to store all the data related to Decred’s governance on-chain, we have opted to create an off-chain store of data that is anchored into Decred’s blockchain, minimizing its on-chain footprint. While we will use it first as the basis for our proposal system, it has been developed as a generic tool that allows its users to create and maintain arbitrary data in a version-controlled and timestamped environment. ^This is what a Dash killer with actual DGBB looks like. ^This is better than any DIP the Dash Core Club has or ever will produce.

Hodl your coins. This just shows how Decred is a step or two above every other coin out there when it comes to governance.

It will expire after about 3-4 months, I don't remember exactly. I had 5 expired tickets out of 250 or so that voted, so it seems to be around 2% of tickets that expire. You seem to be either very unlucky or you haven't set up staking properly.
