Compared to bitcoin, we don't rely the block generation and transactional stiffing to miners! They can deliberately choose to mine empty blocks and not wait for transactions to get assigned to them, those increasing their chances to get in the chain faster.

Here the protocol takes in consideration the "time" aspect when the a transaction is made. As default whenever a transaction is broadcasted it automatically triggers the protocol to take place, the forger list is updated, the forger is selected and the block is signed with a minimum of 1 transaction present.

If the conditions are not met these actions are halted and the process is in standby mode.

Whooa ! What a kind of innovative system that we have here ! Even if I was putting a lot of hope on this new crypto-currency, I have to say that this post that I just saw pushed my expectations a lot farther away than where they where previously !

There are multiple differentialities for this project in comparison with other ongoing developments:

We are building our code around node.js. We developed our own response to conventional block generation. We call it the Proof of Line, and it revolves around the unwritten rule of waiting in line. It is a finite project with no mineable rewards, instead a commission system is put in place. Technologically this is interesting because the protocol allow a order to be created from the connected nodes, this way a democratic trustless system selects the next block generating node taking in consideration its position in the line. Once the block is signed the process takes place again, with the transactions piling up for the next timeframe.

Another key features is that the network doesn't generate empty blocks. There is a minimum requirement of one transaction for the network to trigger the PoL protocol.

Speculative Forging, is another key feature of Edoncoin. The PoL makes a line and waits for the moment to generate the next block. What we have here is a way that we can allow speculators to bet on their next block hunt. And with the speculative marketplace, we allow people to sell/buy/rent/gift their possible rewards in their next block hunt. Or even put bets on the possibilities of gaining an x amount of coins within an x amount of time, something like binary options trading.  Statistically this will present interest as people tend to make deep analyses and speculate accordingly. A lot of potential...

At the same time if you are less on the trading side, it will present an opportunity for you to gain quick cash for long or short term. You could easily rent out your current "forging position for a month" or for an year.

The software is lightweight, you could easily run a node on any device, be it your pc, phone, tablet, rasbery pi, etc...

Besides the core components, we are looking to join the Dapp market, which has proven to have significant influx of interest.
Sidechain are one feature that we would like to exploit during our ascending development.


On the surface, we have a different approach towards account generation. Wallet native chat, for communication purposes. Different types of transactions, aliases, messaging, multisign, researching our own version of paper wallet, and many more.

I would love to offer a deal for Node owners, unfortunately, according to the agreement we have with bittrex, all the coins (pre-mine) will be transferred to them. This way they will control and distribute the coins, thus adding a guarantee for the bakers.

We can roll the initial proposal we discussed. After the distribution, we'll create funds that will be intended to promote and diversificate the project.

I guess we'll have to wait until after the ICO, I just thought it would be good idea to do a quick swap for the ones that were supporting of your project when you appeared on NODE thread as a kind of "thanks" and also you more than anyone in this thread would be able to afford such a small reward. But if you decide not to, then that's fine also. It was just an idea.

The only thing I think is that some of us saw the potential in a node.js coin ahead of everyone else but the guy that was supposed to be innovating just abandoned ship.
These other coins coming out now just copied and pasted the idea, oh well.
