Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I can see someone else already tried impersonating me telling the story of my account being sold to mislead everyone.

Whoever is on my steam account likely tried to take any valubles out of it but should not be able to because they need to go through mobile auth in order to complete any outgoing trades. But I am certain whoever it is already knows my password and has tried scamming some of my friends who are on my friend list.

So it seems my reputation has effectively been ruined beyond repair, and the community being so highly speculative and skeptical it would be difficult for me to convince everyone this is the real me and that my story is true.

Tell me how I can help prove this to you guys. I would like to regain access to my account, my bitcoin wallets, my e-mail, and anything else that may have been compromised.

The one good thing I see here is that the funds are not moved at all and with that I assume the hacker doesn't have enough control to be able to send out any transactions. We still have a chance to fix this if anyone is actually willing to help.

Let me grab my popcorn. You can't authenticate yourself since there is three master-p right now. Anyway unfortunately, if you aren't lying(which you obviously is), the hacker has control of your Bitcoin addresses or at least a few escrow addresses.

I would say the only one that can help you is Badbear and Theymos if they actually believe you and you can provide proof to this story of theft and manipulation. If you prove it on the countless threads that have been created then I would say a league of legendaries can come to your aid in your time of need.

Yes Yes ... you still have no chance of getting the reputation and DT back. You were just testing all this time and now you afraid of the dox and other legal issues.

why would someone explain things on behalf of you ? if he was  hacker then he would have fled and there is no reason he would tell yahoo to send the funds to some address he is not in control of because you say the hacker is not in full control. You are lying outright.

Hacks doesn't happens this way. There was your involvement for sure.

So nobody is willing to help? Instead everyone would rather just shit on me because of the great job the hacker(s) did at discrediting me with their bullshit?

Ok. Well, I don't exactly care about my dox. Post it all you want, it won't help the situation. I am not exactly threatened by that as many people in this community whom I've traded with already knows my name. But if you guys think threatening me by doxxing me is going to help, regardless of if you believe my story or not, then you're going about this all wrong.

If someone can help me figure out a way to safely regain control of my bitcoin wallets let me know.

I do not want to boot up my computer yet because that might give control back to the hacker. Seeing the coins still in their respective addresses is a good sign to me and I want to be able to help get the coins returned.

I don't even care about my gmail or skype, or even my bitcointalk account for that matter. Can we at least work on getting the coins back to everyone first? Help me help everyone get their coins back.

Hi everyone, I am the REAL master-p.

MY ACCOUNT WAS NEVER SOLD.

It was hacked.

I seem to have gotten keylogged and have lost all my saved passwords including my accounts on bitcointalk, gmail, keybase, etc.

Right now I don't have access to my PGP key, my bitcointalk and gmail account, and my skype account which I seldom use.

I believe I got hacked on the 14th or 15th where I mistakenly downloaded something which may have caused the keylogger/malware to be installed.

I did not know it was a keylogger at the time and then shortly after that I went out of town. After the evenining of the 14th I no longer had constant access to the internet. When I did get wifi I tried to log in to bitcointalk but oddly found that my saved password wasn't working on my mobile. I assume that my mobile was not synced correctly to my desktop's saved password.

After getting back online and seeing all this it now makes sense. I am not currently at home, and I won't be for another week or so.

I can assume my private keys have been exposed as well since it seems like the hacker has gained control of my wallet on my desktop PC. Looks like the hacker may also have access to my steam account now but the password has not been changed as the steam guard has protected me on that front.

It is also safe to assume the hacker has been impersonating me via PMs, e-mail, and even Skype and now has pull off this terrible scam.

At this point is there anything I can do? I have remote access to my desktop. If there's any way for me to remedy this or to change my bitcoin wallet passwords please let me know.

Right now my computer is shut off, I guess a power outage happened but I can get it booted up remotely. I don't want to turn it on though as I assume the keylogger/hacker would gain immediate access to all my info again if he has not already.

Is there a way for me to safely change my wallet passwords without having to log in to my main PC where my Armory wallet is installed?

Guys I'm sorry this happened. I wish I had seen this sooner but I didn't have time to find wifi to sign on while I'm out of town.

I will check back here whenever I can for the next week or so but I can't guarantee any fast responses.

I looked up a few of the addresses and see the funds are not moved, including my tipping address where all the funds are still there. Is there a chance the hacker can't change my wallet password because my computer is turned off, thus unable to move the funds?

No way man, the same thing happened to me. What are the chances /s

Its too bad that none of the coins have been moved so the chances of your private keys being compromised are slim to none. My advice to you is to return the funds that you have been entrusted with to their rightful owners as per the various escrow agreements. If you return everyone's money then there would be no real reason for anyone to release your dox, although I don't control the actions of others so I cannot make any guarantees.

Either way your reputation around here is most likely permanently ruined.

Calling this yet more BS Angry.

I can't log in to my account so clearly the password has been changed at some point while I was gone.

Just wow. This community is so bent on throwing me under the bus without giving it a chance at getting it fixed. If nobody is willing to help then consider your coins lost because I don't know any other way to help fix this.

The only thing I can do is go back home in about a week, boot up my PC, and hopefully be able to change the passwords on my wallets before the hacker is able to export or send the coins out.

If anyone has any better ideas then please let me know. If not then I guess I am on my own and will have to wish for the best.

And even in such a dire situation, still so many sig spammers trying to bump up their post count in here.. It's a fucking shame.

This 360 seconds posting restriction sucks. I'll come back tomorrow morning, going to sleep now.

If you are serious about returning the Bitcoin to their rightful owners then I would advise you to not start up your computer but instead restore your wallet from a backup on a fresh computer. (You do have an offline and offsite backup right?)

Create an address on another computer and unplug the internet of your hacked computer. Transfer the unsigned raw TX to the offline computer and sign it. But the chances of the coins not moving before then is really low if you didn't release any escrow funds.

Either way, you didn't secure your computer properly so you will most likely not get back your reputation.

Hey Guys We need a expert here.

Here is a suggestion for you(but hacker is also watching you.)
First gain access to you email address which is not difficult at all.
then recover all your account using that email address if possible.
first do these things then i will tell you some more things which will help you to recover your account but not reputation.

Don't forget to tell us which accounts you are able to recover and which not.

I am just a kid anyone with a good idea can help him.

I think you are smarter than everyone here and can solve the issue yourself(if you are not a runner).

If your password has been changed recently it would tell us in red text on your profile page.

EDIT: At the moment this looks like an exit scam using the master-p account and several other linked alt accounts. As the plot thickens and more information comes to light it looks like its been done by the original master-p.

Also if you've seriously only just found this thread and commented how can you even consider going to sleep? This shit is serious and unless you want to be doxxed I'd recommend sorting this mess out asap and return the missing funds.

if it was a hack as the third account claims, then the hypothetical hacker would likely have taken the money already, assuming this hack even exists, the private keys are already compromised given the signed message: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1306301.msg13378692#msg13378692

really find it hard to believe this claim is true.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.
